No class has even stressed me out like this one, not even BIO. I started having a lot of headaches, I gained weight, I started having anxiety. This class was once a week but just by thinking I had to attend I was so scared. I never felt so intimidated by a professor ever. He would call everybody name to participate asking hard questions oh god

I had to take this class for a writing intensive and pathways. This professor gives a lot to read for homework.I learned more from the readings then the actual lectures. There are 4 required "letters" assignments on the reading. He is very specific and what he wants. Even if you do everything right he still takes points off. Choose another profess

He is very vague with questions but expects a step by step answer explaining every aspect of it. At one point on an exam, he asked a simple compare and contrast question involving seasonal cycles and in reality, wanted a month by month breakdown of everything people did in comparison to yours.

He is a solid professor I took a globalization class and overall the class was good he gives a map quiz which is good and also he needs you to participate or else he will call on you. It just that you must do the reading and complete about six letter or papers that are about 2 pages long. He also provides an optional research paper. Do the papers!

This professor could have given me an F, and I would have still been happy with having taken this class. I learned so much about politics in the middle east, and different theories of international relations. This class has sparked a new born interest in politics for me. If you are not willing to read/write weekly, this class is not for you.

I took this class in the fall and it was an okay class. All you have to do to pass this class is try and do all the extra credits. He requires five letters consisting of one and a half page, midterm and final. Its an easy class if you do all the work.

It is essential to avoid missing class,listen and religiously take notes. You will need those notes to better understand the course and review for the exams. Exams are only easy if you know materials; he doesn't ask tricky questions. However he's a hard grader and extremely strict. You need to read books assigned and write 2 pgs letter every weeks.

This class is demanding Taking clear notes is important every day because much of the notes are needed and can not be found in all the readings you have to be on your game curious and interested to get an excellent grade the knowelege will allow you to understand much about international politics to say the least the final exam is difficult enjoy

Terrible. Doesn't make eye contact much. He comes across as very judgmental. Does not listen. Fails to engage the class. More than half the class ended up dropping the class over the semester. I had a lot of family issues during the semester and he was extremely condescending, asking to see proof of everything.

i had this professor for globalization and at first it was very interesting but then we started getting incredible amounts of boring reading and we had to do weekly 2 page letters which wasnt that bad but if you didnt do the reading you cant do the letters lol thats what messed me up but this professor was good and i couldve done better.

Prof. Hattori's an excellent Prof, but he gives too much reading. His exams are easy though.
