Comment:
Taught the first half and was totally awesome. This is some hard material but he's soo good that the class avg on his midterm was an 80! The only bad part was seeing the 2nd half taught by a guy that is as bad as Hagen is good.

Dr. Hagen is a demanding professor, but he is one of the very best at OSU. His teaching meathod is clear, he puts in extra effort to help you understand, but he does not spoon feed you. If the university standardized teaching, he would be the man to model after (no doubt about it).

Dr. Hagen is a great lecturer. He presents the material in a clear and direct way while making the material interesting to hold our attention. Is very helpful and exams were well written. I too wish he taught the whole class!

Dr. Hagen was very clear about the objectives of the course and went over the material very clearly. Still a hard class, but he was extremely helpful outside of class, and not hard to find, which was nice. Wish he taught the whole class!

This guy was the best biochem prof so far. He was very enthusiastic and I got the feeling that he actually cared about the students. The material of the class isn't that difficult to understand, but there is way too much information for a human to remember.

The best teacher I had at OSU. Not only did he explain metabolism effectively, but he is also a nice guy and cared deeply about his students. He took what could have been an extremely boring topic and made it interesting. Great lectures!

Nice guy, good lecturer if you can get used to his Texas twang. Tests are way too long, and pretty ****ed questions. Helpful during office hours but tries to cover WAY too much material in too short a timeframe (like the rest of the biochem faculty)
