Amazing prof. Breaks down the material in the easiest way possible and makes sure you understand before he moves on. Very open to questions and encourages it. If you are taking systems and simulation and want to understand the material in an interesting way and still get a good grade do the course with Victor.

Wonderful professor -- very laid back and breaks down the course material AMAZINGLY well for students. Thoroughly prepares you for the final exam. Develops concise and clear solutions to problems and super helpful with any question (no matter how trivial it may seem) to make sure you understand. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROF!!!

He prepares you more than enough for the final exam and the midterm. He lays out the course in way to mainly prepare you for the final. He will also tell you what will not be on the final. I kind of don't like this because I feel like I haven't learned all the course material. Overall though he is a great professor!

Comment:

Awesome professor and person. Very smart and knowledgeable of the material (control systems). Genuinely wants to help students learn which is why his lectures are so informative (class notes were all I needed for the final). His only drawback is that he can be a little too laid back sometimes.

Good professor, he's really good at explaining the material but a lot is expected of the students in terms of course work. The mid-term and final exams were reflected of the material covered in the assignments. He also does quite a bit of review to prepare students for the final exam.

Not a bad prof, I don't believe he's the best prof to teach this material, but Marble isn't either. They don't give final exams and he usually beings questions from past exams. You need to dedicate time for this course alone and not rely on lectures or prof, they'r just a bonus.

He may be a good prof for other courses, but for SYSC 3600 he is terrible. This is not a course that should be taught through powerpoint slides, take Marble for 3600 and avoid Aitken at all costs.

Makes a course that is relatively easy extremely difficult. When I took his course, I had two exams in one day, and they were very rough exams. He has no sympathy if students are dealt a bum hand.
