Professor Dimattio truly is a gem! At first, he may seem a little mean but once you get to know him, you realize he's a big softy. He's extremely flexible with scheduling and very understanding. An amazingly intelligent and hilarious professor. Very caring and considerate as well. All of his assigned projects are also (if done well) easy A's.

I love him as a professor! I had him for two courses my freshman year. At first his sense of humor may come off as rude but he is really a nice guy. Do your work! He will not baby you or tolerate laziness.

oh dimattio..... the way to get by in his class is to go along with his silly comments, don't skip class, don't sit in your chair, and always be prepared. He truly is one of a kind and he's tough on kids and can seem so intimidating but its an easy A/A-. and he makes you get a textbook you never use and so many supplies... $$$$$

DiMattio seems super intimidating at first, but he's really down to earth. You MUST have things prepared for every class or he WILL call you out. Don't expect him to baby you unless there's something serious. I enjoyed his classes and his projects get you involved. He's a lovely teacher and person.

Very polarizing. Can be helpful when he's there but sometimes he'll just walk off & leave you hanging. You can fixredo pieces before the final as long as you have something finished on the original due date. He's a bit pretentious & sarcastic. Pay close attention to critiques & clarify directions if needed. It's not an easy A, but it's manageable.

Those who don't like their grade from DiMattio's class... they must have done absolutely NOTHING. He may come off as mean or intimidating, but he truly is a very kind and great professor. If you come to class prepared and honestly try your hardest (and it is quite hard), you will get a great grade. Just smile and don't take anything too seriously.

Wonderful teacher and person! If you don't show up or slack off, prepare to not do well/fail. As an art minor in a class of majors, I felt challenged but he made me feel right at home. He jokes around a lot but can get ver serious when there is work to be done. DO NOT MENTION YANKEES. RED SOX FAN. Overall, very intelligent and great teacher!!

I've had DiMattio for 3 classes already. I've learned so much from him and he really is a great guy. Passionate, willing to help, and stern when it comes to handing in work, critiques, and attendence. If you are lazy or not interested art do not take him. Otherwise, do!

Any negative feedback about this professor is based on a student not doing work or not showing up to class. He makes everything crystal clear, is always in his office to help students (even outside of posted office times). All he expects is commitment and passion. Show up and prove you want to be there. Best teacher I've ever had.

Dimattio is the best teacher i've had. he is funny and straightforward. he's honest in critiques so if you can't handle being called out on something then don't take this class. the nicest man in and out of class, and really cares about his students. makes you work hard but rewards you for quality work. don't make fun of the red sox. boston fan.

I love him. He was a great teacher and helpful. He really cares about his students and wants everyone to get the most out of his class=why he gets angry when youre late or absent, but was very understanding if you had a legitimate excuse, and even just a bad day. A lot of work but you learn A LOT. I would take definitely him again.
