If i had to do it all over again..I will not change a thing. He is great. You MUST take his class before he retires. Read the book, ask him questions and COME to class. If you are willing to walk the extra mile, he will be right there with you. Good luck and have fun. He will introduce you to 9 great thinkers. Prof. Jeffries is the best 4 this job!

Professor Jeffries is very into the world of sociology. He knows the material. You can't fool him. This is college. If you want to gain something, take him. Advice to you: attend the classes, pay attention, don't be afraid to ask questions, read and do the assignments, talk about it with peers, and take notes. You'll be fine!

If you decide to take his class, you will go through 3 stages during the semester. In the begining you will fear him,in the middle of the semester you will hate him and at the end you will love him!! Many of these bad reviews were written during the mid-term. Personally, i learned soooo much in his class that i will always remember him. He rocks!!

YOu have got to be kidding me. I usually never complain but, when a teacher smiles and boost about how hes the worse rated teacher on the internet its bad. He is a pass fail guy. OF twenty people in this mind bottleing class(haha) he passed 5 and gave the rest Fails. He gave no C's or D's. He sadistically smiled when most of the class Failed.

Yes, he is very hard but any student majoring in SOCIOLOGY needs to understand that the discipline is not a simple math equation. There are so many concepts that he teaches, very confusing, but remembering at least the general concept is the best reward you can get. Don't be scared be happy to finally take a class that will challenge you to learn.

The best teacher I had prior to graduatin with my undergrad degree. His teachings helped me get through graduate school, with flying colors. Other students who have had him, did well in grad school as well. He is useful if you really are interested in learning, and not just receive an easy "A."Take him if you want to learn.

The best teacher I had at CSUN. Class was hard as hell, seriously. But I never learned more from a teacher. Not very forgiving, so you have to do your reading and prepare in advance. STUDY for the tests. Not a generous grader, at all; but if you do well, you know you deserved it. If not, well, you do the math.
