He's a very respected professor and is good at what he does. However, in my opinion, he doesn't get the best music out of his students. If you miss one day, your grade will go down a letter grade.

Despite what you see below, Warren is AWESOME. He's great at what he does and he makes you want to be just as great. Of course you get a letter grade off if you miss a day of band. How are you supposed to work on 4-6 pieces when people are missing all the time? It's more of a scare tactic. You'll love him, and how dedicated he is. Great guy.

Although Mr. Warren lacks some empathy and therefore makes his classes really hard, he is dedicated to his students and to them becoming artists. He's too harsh on attendance policy(one absence means a letter grade off), but he's very talented and likeable. He is also a great conductor who never lets anyone out late. He prepares very well for class

I really respect Mr. Warren not only for his style of teaching/conducting, but for the moral person he is. He never wants to see a person unhappy or alone and will do anything in his power to help another individual. Not just respected for being a great conductor, but a great person!

Mr. Warren is top-notch and you won't find a better college band conductor anywhere I'd bet. Wants the absolute best for all of his students and will do anything for you if you just ask. This university is extremely fortunate to have Mr. Warren on faculty.
