Sweet guy really just wants to help people learn to draw. Lots of still lives but it really helps improve your drawing skills. I learned so many things that really improved my drawing skills, sometimes he can just go on and talk in circles but overall hes just a good teacher who pushes you to do better.

He's horribly boring, and never explains anything clearly enough for you to understand. He seems knowledgeable, but doesn't communicate things well at all; he has specific expectations, but doesn't explain them well. Talks in circles and seems to drone on and on without really illustrating his point. Gives convoluted and ambiguous feedback.

Almost too smart for his own good, he has a masters degree in art critiquing so when he talks (and especially when he's explaining) it's hard to keep up or even realize he's speaking English. If you work hard though you'll come out a lot better than you started.

I learned a lot about drawing, but I had to work for it. Teaches directly from the textbook. Doing the reading assignments is a must. There are few grades so missing one assignment can drop your grad quite a bit. The class is difficult, but you will come out at the end of the semester with improvement to the skill of drawing if you work hard.

The main thing I didn't like about this teacher is that he would tell you to do something and explain it very ambiguosly and then tell you you were doing it all wrong and not tell you what you were doing wrong. Which can be very very annoying. Other than that I just thought the man was an a$$

This was the worst class I have had and I firmly believe it was because of him. He goes on and on about basically nothing. If I wanted a deep learning about art history, I would have taken an art appreciation class. Teach me to do art not about other people who did it.

He is a really nice, sometimes you have to ask for help rather than him just giving it to you. Also he is crazy monotone so it is hard tostay awake, but i love him!

Great teacher. This isn't his field but he is very knowledgable and helpful if you ask for help. You may have problems understanding him or call him a hack if you are a f'n redneck moron who knows nothing about art and just calls people hacks because they aren't inteligent enough to understand.

He's a hack. He has some talent in drawing, but for the most part he just teaches strait from this crappy book. He occasionally can give insight and tries to help. If you do this class, make sure to make friend there who's a good artist already for help.
