(Online course). She was a great teacher. She answered emails very fast whenever I had any concerns regarding assignments or grades. She gives you plenty of chances to do extra credit which are pretty straightforward and easy points. Her test are challenging if youre unable to comprehend what youre reading. Textbook is important.

She definitely wants her students to succeed. Lots of reading involved and extra credit opportunities is a plus. There is a 300pg book that you have to read and do a paper on which is challenging but with writing center tutors and the help of this wonderful teacher you will succeed just make sure to ask for help and get started on the book ASAP!

You get extra credit opportunity. That's a plus. The first part of the class is relatively easy, just quizes based on a textbook. The second part of the class requires to read 300-page book which is not that easy. Anyway, Wendy is a great teacher. Just follow the syllabus and make sure to complete extra credit.

Ignore the negative comments!! If you are not a lazy reader and dont mind that your professor makes your big grade project as easy as possible for you, you will love this class! People are complaining that they have to come up with questions and answer them for the supplemental reading.... Id much rather do that than a 15 page research paper!

There is LOTS of reading. I basically read the whole cultural anthropology book and the other book that was also required for the final "assignment". But open book quizzes and tests that are both timed (60 min) for 20 question quizzes and 50 question tests. Never emailed her, syllabus was pretty clear.

Took cultural ant over summer. Overall she was a good professor, but I didnt communicate almost at all with her (didnt need to). Since it was only 8 weeks, there was TONS of reading (about 125 pg/wk). Each chapter has a quiz, open book and can be taken twice for highest score. Built in extra credit to help you study. Supplemental book is great

The quizzes are open book and you can take it twice with the highest score posting. There is also a supplemental reading that you have to do a 200 point assignment on. She emails you and posts to blackboard frequently reminding you of all the upcoming due dates. She offers extra credit which I received. I will be taking another class with Wendy.

I took this class online. There are about 15 quizzes and 3 tests. The quizzes are open book and you have the option to take it twice with the highest score posting. There is also a supplemental reading of "The Bone Woman" with a 200 point assignment to it. She emails you and posts to blackboard frequently reminding you of all the upcoming due dates

Wendy is very responsive via email for an online class. Everything is very laid out and clear cut. The class consists of an anthro book as well as another 350 or so page book. I think the course load is more than a 3 hour credit class. As long as you stay on top of things you'll be fine.

Read the syllabus, set weekly goals by the syllabus and read the material and you will pass this class. Do the work and you will be fine. She has clear-cut standards and if you do not meet them, then you lose. This online class is for those that are able to work sufficiently alone. Extra credit is offered and I highly suggest doing it.

Overall I enjoyed the course, I love anthropology, learning about people and culture. It might have been a disadvantage taking it online. The bulk of the grade went to creating questions to a book with answers and also an essay, all together was 10 pages for me seemed ridiculous. Don't do the extra points, she doesn't honor them.

One assignment is worth 200points (Which I Completed). I also completed all the 30points of extra credit which she did not give me because I didn't get a high enough score on the Assignment. I only needed 15 points for a B.

I love this professor, the best I have yet she only gives you quizzes and tests and 1 assignment all semester. The class is very interesting and very easy to pass. As long as you have your quizzes and tests online done by deadline each week you are golden.

I was very disappointed with this class, not because of the teacher but the online format robbed this class of much needed discussion and case studies. The class was an English class with a focus on research and writing. The supplemental reading was a great read. A classroom setting may have been better. The teacher was very responsive.
