Comment:

Prof. Baker knows his Shakespeare. His familiarity with the subject allows him to go off on random subjects, however. He definitely made Shakespeare fun, as he said he would, but his tests can be rather difficult. Take Baker if you love English and want to have fun.

Comment:

Dr. Baker was an awesome professor! He made it not such a chore to learn Shakespre. In addition, when no other teacher would help me fulfill my final English requirement, Dr. Baker offered unselfishly his time to take me as an independent studies student, so that I could graduate this semester!! Best professor I ever had in 4 years at NIU!!!

I've had several courses with Dr. Baker & I agree with others that I regret when the course is over, because he's intelligent, entertaining, & a master of his field. He does care about students & the creepy comments are from people who don't know him. Digressions are part of larger picture; some people don't stay tuned in to see that. A top prof!

He's a good guy, but he is hyper and does go off subject. He could be a little more helpfu with instructions. Loves his work and it shows in his enthusiam.

Prof. Baker must have ADHD because he was all over the place. He interrupts, laughs constantly, and forgets names and paper topics after being reminded repeatedly. He was learning this topic and read parts of his book to us. It was most annoying that we only got throught three of Austen's six novels. He's after young girls!

Shakespeare would never be the same with Prof. Baker's creative teaching and passion for the subject. I enjoyed his class immensly and was sorry to have it end. If you want to learn Shakespeare with great sound & attitude don't miss his class.
