Comment:

Would recommend for those with the right learning style. Usually with him either you get the way he teaches or you don't. Must be good enough in math to understand what and why when he skips simple steps while explaining problems. Don't be afraid to ask questions though, he always loves to explain in more detail.

He is very friendly and willing to help you understand the material. However, he can cause much confusion. I felt need to get a tutor to better help me understand what we were learning about. And a study buddy is a MUST for this class!

Had him for Trig, great and very kind professor, if you learn the material and can do the work you get the grade. He doesn't coddle you or check homework because you're an adult now and if you don't do the work, you won't get the grade.

It's easy to get behind in his class if you don't pay attention, but he makes math interesting and keeps the class involved. He's very helpful if you don't understand something. Highly recommend him!

I have taken every one of his math classes from College Algebra all the way up to Calculus II. He is a VERY good professor. He gives plenty of opportunities to answer questions but YOU HAVE TO ASK THEM!! He is more than willing to sit down with students during his office hours and help out as much as possible. GREAT PROFESSOR!!

Culbertson is a good teacher over all. Some of his tests were challenging, but they were usually not too hard. If you do the homework every once in a while and pay attention in class, you should do fine.

I took College Algebra and College Trig with him and he was wonderful. I never did a single nights work of homework. He does not check it and your grade is based off the 5 or 6 tests you take. Half the time i didn't show up to class. Just looked and the book and when i didn't know something i went to class that day. Very helpful too. Great Teacher
