Pretty easy class if you show up and listen. Doesnt care about phones and doesnt check homework. Boring guy no doubt, but he uses the exact stuff he teaches in lecture on the tests.

Dr. Lahar is the best prof. I've had so far I had him 2 semester in 2016 and he's really good at lecturing. Just take notes, write everything down that he writes on the board and listen to him while he speaks and take extra notes down when he speaks and literally if you do all that I'm saying I guarantee you an A in his class. take his class!!

Lahar is by far the best chem professor here. He is very approachable and works with the students. If someone doesn't understand he will go over it again. Always makes sure everyone gets what is going on before moving on. Definitely recommend him!!

Took Dr. LaHar for Chemistry. He was great and if you didn't understand something in class he made time during his office hours and explained it to you....really does want you to understand. Left me with a much better feeling/understanding of Chemistry. Thanks Dr. LaHar!!!

Wonderful teacher, the text is not even needed because he is so straight forward and through when teaching in class. If you go to class everyday and write the notes EXACTLY as he does you'll pass all the tests. Never gives any trick questions. He was always available to help with questions. Made his class enjoyable

Even though the course material is really hard, he makes it clear what you need to know and that from day 1, you need to study. He tells you what to study so you don't fall behind. He's always available in his office to answer questions and really gets to know his students. I loved taking his class.

Dr.Lahar was a great asset to my learning at the Mount. I really appreicate the clarity with which he would explain concepts and the manner through which he taught (mainly using the white board). He was always very helpful and is one of the best teachers at the Mount.

I took Dr. Lahar for basic Chemistry for the Nursing program at the Mount. Although I only got a C in his class, I thoroughly felt as though he was a wonderful teacher. Science is just not my strong suit, but he made it easier for me to understand, and I enjoyed going to class every day. He mad me WANT to understand the subject matter.

He's a great teacher! He teaches everything step by step and is really knowledgeable. Very enthusiastic about Chemistry, I think he knows EVERYTHING about Chem actually. Also, he gives (optional) homework which REALLY helps prepare you for the tests--which aren't bad to begin with, you just need to study. One of the best teachers I've had.
