I took Western Civ with Dr. Mullins and Mr. Scrutchins. They were definetely an awesome duo. I don't think many people can say that they enjoyed Civ, but I really did. And the two of them at Dante readings? So hilarious. Fun times.

not only does he sound like kermit while talking, but he's excited about history and does a heck of a good job convincing everyone else that it's exciting, too. charming little man. i'd take his class again (but i passed...)

although he DOES look and sound like kermit the frog, mullins is(was) awesome. don't ever take him if you're not going to put out the effort though. he can smell BS better than any teacher/prof i've ever seen. i am an expert at cutting corners but he can spot it a mile away and isn't afraid to call you out on it.

Very good teacher. Knows volumes of history, and keeps the audience interested for the most part. As long as you can find his theme (i.e. NCL, watershed, other Mullin-isms), his class is drastically easier. His "Civs for Life" lectures help make his students as intellectuals. Teaching his last sem.

my least favorite professor on campus. Everyone (well, the typical OBU student) thinks he is great...but i have no respect for him. I dont even think he is a good man outside of class. He is arrogant and spends his time judging others who he doesnt think are as holy as himself. He is a Rude Man too

By far, Dr. Mullins is one of the best professors at OBU. His Civ class was amazing and I have loved his history classes. There's never a dull moment, and he makes history come alive. You have to work hard in his classes, but you'll learn a lot if history is your subject. I'd highly recommend him!

He knows the material very well, but not "enthusiastic"--very muted lectures--good material but needs to work on delivery. Fairly interesting and informative, but not my favorite civ prof. (For a genuinely enthusiastic, animated, and interesting civ history prof, I'd recommend Dr. Sanders.)

Only willing to help those who kiss his butt. Sit close to him because otherwise it is hard to understand what he is saying since he sounds like Kermit the frog. As helpful as the clap.
