He was the first professor that I ever dropped. His accent is extremely tough, couldn't understand a thing. Exams are hard and barely related to what he explained in class. His lecture is nothing but PowerPoint. Save your time and energy and do not take him.

Three tests worth 27% of your grade each . He expects you to know everything and doesn't answer the questions you ask. I asked him a question after classes and he responded "We went over this already, it's in the book. I am not saying he is not an expert accountant, I'm saying hes an awful teacher.

Professor Poon is an interesting guy. His lectures are boring, his tests are very hard. However, if you go to his office hours it really helps and he is a really nice guy. He answers any questions you have. All you have to do is study a week in advanced for the tests. Not my first choice but still a good guy.

The material was difficult, his lecture notes arent that bad, and the exams are pretty tough. The exams are 87% of your grade so messing up on one of them is crucial. Possible to do well, you just have to put in the work.

do not take this class, lectures are very hard to understand due to his heavy accent, whenever you ask a question he does not answer it directly, instead he tells you that you need to look over your notes instead of explaining it. Tests are extremely hard and doing the connect homeworks does not help during the test, it is just a homework grade.

Gives good notes so you don't need to buy the book. It is possible to get an A with just studying his notes and doing the practice questions he makes up. If you take him for a night class, he'll let you out maybe a half hour early.

One of the easiest A's you'll ever get. He gives you a sample test a week before every exam, and he solves it in class. Also, the instructions for the project were very direct and straightforward. Tips: Skim through the PowerPoint before class, show up to class, participate, do the assignments, and study the PowerPoint and the sample test.

Should not be teaching a course for business minors. expects that everyone knows how to do accounting and shuts you down when you ask questions. His accent is really hard to understand and talks about a lot of random things during class. starts a new chapter with 5 minutes left of class just to keep you until the last minutes. Would not recommend

Awful class, teaching method (lectures to final minute), and professor (accent heavy). How Prof. Poon has above a 3 on rate my professor is beyond me. Avoid at all costs. Extremely precise and critical, will take a point off for everything you do. Difficult material + stern/terrible old testament teacher extremely difficult to pass. Trust me

Great Professor!! You will learn in his class more than from any other professor that teaches this course. he will give you his own notes so you do not need a book! His exam is the same as the homework !! read his material before class and study the homework you will get an A.

Professor drags class until the last possible minute every night and will start a new topic or chapter with only five minutes remaining. It is sometimes hard o understand what he is saying. He does not assign a lot of homework, but there's also not much practicing problems in the class.

Despite his accent, Professor Poon is a good teacher. His exams and assignments are exactly like the examples in his notes, which he goes over in depth in class. You do really need to pay attention in order to learn but overall I like Professor Poon.

Toughest guy in the campus. You cannot understand a word he say. His accient is extremely strong. He pronounced cash "caish." Tests are totally different than homework. He will not stop to answer your questions. Stay away from this guy.

He is the worst teacher for this course. He should not be teaching a beginners course. Homeworks were easy. Exams really difficult. Can't really understand him with his accent. Final grades are based on exams mostly too.

Gives great outlines. Print them and bring to class to take notes on them. Exams consist of 12 multiple choice questions and 2-3 open ended questions very similar to the ones in the outlines, but exams are still difficult. Always gives homework but it's only few questions. I bought the book but never used it, so only get the online access for HW.

Worst teacher in Montclair, class is just him reading off of his notes which doesn't help prepare you for the tests whatsoever. He's a smart enough guy but should just retire from teaching altogether because im sorry but he's terrible at his job.
