If you have a chance to take Dr Chin, do it. She teaches the intuition behind the subject. Because of her I try to get this level of understanding in all of my classes now. It's a hard class, a tough subject, but she is phenomenal. Don't miss any classes! The quizzes & the HW are your clues for what the test will be (she says so & it's true).

Graduate Econometrics. 1 Final, 2 papers, and 8-10 short assignments. STATA heavy class. Textbook is a waste of money. Chin is a pretty decent professor, but can get pretty annoyed when students ask questions, so be sure to ask good, pointed questions. To do well be sure to attend every class. Office hours are very helpful!

Best professor I've had so far. Super hard A, but not impossible. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I highly recommend going. She provides lecture notes and explains concepts thoroughly. Two tests, homework and the final determined grade. She provides solutions when graded exams are returned and offers crucial feedback. Extra credit was a lifesaver!

Professor Chin is great. I recommend going to every class, because the notes you take in class combined with the lecture outlines that she gives out is GOLD for studying for the exams. Homework is easy and bases on lecture. This class is easy.

This class was insane. You certainly will learn a lot without a doubt. This class is hard. She grades so very in depth on exams. Homework was ok. You truthfully have to work hard for your grade. She has a MASSIVE curve that helps everybody. Thank god, otherwise we would've all failed. She's ok. No words at the moment. Just be carefu when selecting.

This lady is unable to teach. DO NOT TAKE HER. She will create confusion. I would like to thank Youtube for teaching me this course, not the professor. Wonderful lady I think, but unable to teach.

The aplia homework helped, however, the class average for the first exam was 55 and it didn't get any easier. Good luck.

Professor Chin seems to have a difficult time following her own train of thought, which makes it nearly impossible to focus on the topics or learn anything at all. She stumbles around her words, and doesn't seem to have the confidence required to be an effective teacher. "The umm, the, the umm demand curve is ummm..." basically sums this class up.

This is not an easy subject to learn. But, Prof. Chin always tries her best to make sure her students succeed in this class. Her teaching is very clear. She always gives detailed instructions and very organized too. Try not to skip class! You need to attend her lecture to be able to understand; textbook alone is not enough.

Great professor. The class is very difficult but the professor is clear in what is expected and clear in the way she presents the material. Make sure you are prepared for the 'long' problems for the exams because they count for roughly half of the points. Tough class; great professor.

Easy class. No textbook use needed. All in-class notes, so basically must go to every class because of her notes. Onlne HW is difficult though, which is why I got an A- instead of an A.

If you have a hard time with BASIC math (i.e. arithmetic, algebra, etc) then you probably will not do good. Lectures are boring, but she is helpful if you talk to her. Its a very detailed oriented class which requires you to stay on top of the material. If you're good with math, and like economics, its an easy A!

She is the best graduate professor i have ever seen. her notes are still useful. i use it all the time. might not be the best when it comes to presenting the materials but very clear in what she wants. you will learn a lot if you follow the notes and do the hw. the exams are tough and its a hard earned A. she has high standards but not mean if you

Mean! Does not like questions to be asked Nothelpful Insulting!Demanding!Unclear! Forgets what she is sayingand gets lost! Does not explain sufficiently and uses WIERD graphs that make NO sense at all! She went to Harvard and MIT and expects you to be a genius like her. To which she will say " Oh I just work really hard" HORRIBLE!! Do not take!!!

She had to curve, otherwise the majority of the class would have failed. I actually saw someone with a grade in the 30% range who made a C. Do not look at her handouts until after class. All you have to do is add the graphs. If you don't take notes, you might catch yourself daydreaming or doing other work.

She knows her stuff, but she is extremely difficult to follow. She either went too fast or just rambled. She's boring and even seemed to confuse herself at times. I guess she realizes all of this, because she gives a very good curve for the final grades.
