Comment:
It's obvious that Mr. Drysdale knows what he is talking about and wants to share general worldly knowledge with his students. However, his lectures provide TONS of information and only a small amount is needed for the tests. I only passed the class because I studied for hours on Quizlet. The information really was interesting, but not essential.

There were five tests, all with equal weight and non were cumulative. If you study for the tests and pay attention in class, you can easily get an A. If you don't study, don't expect to do well on the tests!

Great lecturer, really knows what he's talking about (except maybe the short bits of geology in a couple lectures) and is able to keep your attention throughout the lecture.

Professor Drysdale uses many anecdotes and stories of his foreign experiences to teach his class yet he expects us to know the most picky of details that he neither taught us in class, nor posted to lecture review. He truly takes pride in the material yet lacks any concern for the wellbeing of his students.

I had Prof. Drysdale for 3 courses back in the early 1980's and can honestly look back and say he was my favorite instructor at UNH. I really enjoyed learning about the world beyond NH from him, especially the Middle East. I was an Economics major with a Geography minor, which was a good combination.

this professor has been all around the world, twice. truly a great professor. very enthusiastic, understanding and helpful. five atlas assignments and answers are all in the book (cheap and beyond helpful). the exams are tricky, but just study! this class is your typical put in effort and you'll do fine. any class with him you will.

Professor Drysdale is an extremely nice man and a caring professor. He has really interesting stories to compliment the subject material. Be sure to take good notes and study the lecture review questions. Exams are mostly all short answer questions. Online homework assignments are tedious.

He is awesome. Class is like storytelling; its all about places that he has either been to or has lived. Grading is fair; tests are pretty easy. He has great pictures. He really wants people to know the basics of geography and love it.

I agree with the last review. He sets you up for the tests with great PDF's to download, but the questions on the test are designed to intentionally mislead students. I'm an education major, and had issues with the way his test questions were designed, and that the grade was only based off of those questions. The class was decent enough though.

A bit of a stiff. If you enjoy listening to power point slides being read to you than you will enjoy his class. Unnecessarily difficult tests: purposefully misleading test questions are not an accurate measure of a student's preparedness. They are instead a measure of a student's ability to take tests. Geography is not a valuable subject.

I've taken 3 classes with him and enjoyed all of them. He is one of those teachers that doesn't attack you with assignments and understands that his students have lives too! I got a minor in Geography because of his classes.

I'm taking his Geography of the Non Western World course right now and he's AWESOME. He honestly makes me want to change my major. He's very clear and pretty entertaining, he has stories and pictures from all over. He shares his personal experiences from the countries to make a point during lectures, overall an awesome prof.

Great instructor. Seems like he's lived in or visited every country on the planet. Tests are not easy, but an A is achievable if you study well and have a good memory for details. The material is always interesting and he has a lot of stories to share. You should know his classes are lecture based, there is little or no discussion.
