I took physics 1 with him and he was great. He is one of the few professors I had at NJCU who actually cared if students learned something. Approachable and helpful.

The class itself is extremely hard and a little confusing but the lessons he posts helps a lot and makes the weekly quizzes much easier. You have to join the chatroom 6 times in the semester, which is awkward because no one says much and he obviously doesn't want to be there. He's incredibly rude when critiquing you though, pretty much insults you.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. ITS NOT A GOOD ONE. HE DOESN'T EXPLAIN THE CONCEPTS WELL. THE MATERIAL IS CONFUSING. LABS ARE HARD AND PINKAS DOESN'T HELP YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR MISTAKES. I DIDN'T LEARN ANYTHING. I DROPPED THIS CLASS. I WAS FAILING. AND OTHERS IN THE CLASS WEREN'T DOING WELL. I RECOMMEND TAKING PHYSICS AT ANOTHER COLLEGE OR TAKE DR. HERBERT.

I didn't learn anything. He allows you to cheat on exams. He doesn't know how to explain the equations. I didn't pass the class. He is horrible at explaining where the equations come from. He likes to play music while he teaches and this makes it difficult to learn. I would not recommend taking his class you will fail and not learn physics.

He is very funny, and his introduction to the topic sparks intrigue. However, from there he goes downhill with his poor delivery on how to derive the equations and the relevance of the variables to the formula. Nothing is ever clear and poorly specified. Moreover he says to come see him but his sarcastic remarks and reactions is intermediating.

Tooks the lab. he would talk for half the class and then tell us to do lab. i didnt understand the experiments and he wouldnt show us what we did wrong. it was a nightmare. not only did i fail and do bad but had to repeat this class over twice. wish he couldve helped me more!

I didn't learn anything, and he didn't provide me help. I went to him numerous times and he told me it wasn't his problem. I had difficulty understanding the physics and ended up dropping the class. I would not recommend taking his class. You will not learn any physics.
