Could never understand what he was saying- his pre-lab lectures took up WAY too much time and were unnecessary. He would rush you through the lab and then come over and yell and call you incompetent if you weren't doing it fast enough. He did grade fairly easy but made me dread lab. Try and take lab with someone else if you can.

He's alright, super thick Russian accent, didn't understand what he said almost 80% of the time but TA was very helpful, had him for lab, met once a week, had lab quiz every week, kind of hard so you gotta know your stuff. Pretty easy grader for lab, cracks a lot of jokes but doesn't really get any laughs back, overall he's easier than others.

I took his class over the summer, and I'm really glad that I did. The class material isn't too hard as long as you follow the textbook. The tests are very straightforward. Understanding the lectures was difficult.

Took this as a summer class. Very lenient grading, but good luck understanding Physics. Overall would recommend though, just because he's such an easy grader.

Lab is fun - he's kinda rude and funny. Lectures forever, but pretty much give you all the answers. Labs are usually quick and like always, the TA is there during lab to answer your questions. TA grades pre-lab quizzes and labs. Know how to do calculations from previous lab for quizzes! Cumulative final that you can bring a crib sheet to.

He's hilarious. You're guaranteed an A even if you do not attend all classes. He has a big heart and tells funny stories. Take him if you just want an A and aren't actually interested in Physics.

He brought the Cold War to our classroom. I dreaded going to lab every week. This guy was awful. I don't know how others can find him funny. He's just plain rude. Physics department has Ruubel's name on all the sections when you register, so you don't even know this is the guy you're going to get.

He is a nice and has a good sense of humor(aka he makes fun of you if you're late or dont pay attention). Anyways his prelab lectures are pretty decent, but make sure you study for midterm and final!

He does the pre lecture lab, and the TA is the one who actually grades the labs. As far as the midterm and final goes, there are always random things on those tests make sure you put everything you can on your crib sheet. These tests are graded by Ruubel.

Very nice professor, and very knowledgeable, always eager to help everyone out and explains everything thoroughly. Also, has a nice sense of humor. But he isn't responsible for grading anything or making test/quizzes, he's only lecturing and helping out. Overall a great and funny professor!

Rambles forever, scribbles illegibly, has no due date for labs, and gives you an A. Not bad, but painful to sit through for 2 hours. (This is for Modern and Intermediate PHYS labs, not College physics).

Had to take this class b/c I got AP credit and Loyola doesn't give credit for labs so I kinda knew what was going on. Yeah he has a heavy accent but it doesn't matter bc they make physics lab so easy you can't fail unless you're lazy and miss class... you should be able to pass the class even if a monkey was teaching it so don't blame his accent...

In terms of teaching, he's fine. He makes really funny comments but his lectures are kind of useless. The TA just walks you through in anyway. The bad news about him is that he smells really bad. It's kind of hard to concentrate on circuits when your trying to hold your breath.

He should really change his ancient exams. Everybody knows that his tests remain the same for centuries. Students tend to take him specifically during the summer and end up not learn a single concept. They simple cheat off of the old year's exams. What a shame! What a waste of money!

u gus are so rude....first of all he's russian. second of all that's really mean to dislike someone who has an accent ( just in case you didn't notice half of this school are foreigners)he's great and people are just ignorant...it's not about the accent , it's about how much he knows

very easy; ignore his random growls. he sobs hysterically when you do something he dislikes (like not understand what he just explained) but you can't understand him b/c of his accent. when you ask questions he'll come up to your face like he's about to kiss you. *weird* guy but very easy.

calls everyone and everything "noble." he yells when he talks. he's rude. if you ask him questions, he will basically call you stupid. other than that, the class is an easy A.
