She has a lot of busy work reading assignments, but those, her quizzes, and papers are graded pretty easily. I thought she was really funny and open to all opinions in her class.

Every day there's a new reading assignment, and there has to be a reading response for each assignment. She cares about the material she teaches, but doesn't do much to make it interesting. There are 2 main papers, which the grading criteria on isn't too clear. The midterm and final are cumulative, but she's clear on what will be on those.

All the positive reviews from February are clearly red flags. RMP needs to look into those reviews, as they do not line up with previous reviews. This lady is anything but hilarious and helpful. She is crabby, dry, rambles, and does not respond to emails. Very knowledgeable, but she did fib on some facts, historical ones, which I knew were false.

It is obvious that this course covers Amanda's area of expertise as she's always able to give an extra piece of information or funny little side trivia about a reading or author. There was a lot of reading, but that's kinda expected from a course like this, and each reading was justified; there was no busy work. Among the best professors I've had!

What a fun class! Amanda had us do all sorts of special things, like sewing our own syllabus codexes, taking a field trip to see how paper was traditionally hand-made, visiting the Special Archives, and, and, and. She definitely never let the material get boring and always had something fun (or funny) to add! Loved this!

Amanda was extremely helpful in offering us insights into the variety of focus areas we might specialize in. She was always ready to give us more information if we wanted it, and her jokes made this class a lot of fun. There is a lot of reading, but it's definitely worth taking and taking with this professor!

This is one of those courses and professors where you get to really get a hands-on experience on what you want to do. Amanda definitely knows her stuff and was super helpful in getting us to do final projects with which we could do something in the future. My project partner and I ended up donating ours to the Special Archives, which is super cool!

Dr Gailey was one of the best teachers I had at UNL. She helped me with me papers and was always friendly. Class was not easy but I learned a lot. Yes she allows absences.

Dr. Gailey is excellent at making students think critically. She helped me understand and enjoy poetry more than I ever thought I could. For this class, there were two papers (4-5 pgs) and either a third paper or an optional poetry recitation. This class has been one of my favorites at UNL; even if you disagree with her, she's easy to respect.

Probably the best I had on upper level at UNL. She is very clear and gives a good overview before going to details. I'd recommend her for sure.

Professor Gailey was the most unorganized and unhelpful professor I have ever had. She gives snarky replies to emails, and is not approachable. Her quizzes are incredibly detail specific, and her attendance policy is unreal (no excused or unexcused absences, no matter what). She pushes her political agenda down your throat every class.

Comment:
This professor doesnt answer emails, is rarely prepared for class, and waxes poetic about their own agendas instead of teaching. I have nothing against professors having their own opinions, but it is absurd how far it is taken. This class is supposed to be about "Being Human in the Digital Age," but it is solely about how much SHE hates technology
