i took this class online and it was horrible, you basically teach yourself for 4 weeks and than have an exam and a discussion after 4 weeks. i did not learn much because the lack of work to help me learn. basically all you do the whole semester is read but even the reading sections aren't clear. her notes also are not any good.

Comment:

Angela Simon is an amazing teacher. Super understanding, so funny and eccentric (even over an online class you can tell she has a stellar personality)!! I took it during fall, and the opportunities for extra credit were such a kindness that was totally by her good faith. She does a really great job in reminding you everything is going to be okay!

I enjoyed taking this professor. Quick grader, gives feedback, you can tell she cares about her students. If you can, take her. Online course wasn't difficult - put in the effort and you will get an A.

I took her class online and it was a little hard to follow. She gave tons of reading material and tons of things she said you absolutely needed to know then she would test you on about half of it. You absolutely need the book.

Prof. Simon is a great professor, I had her for a human sexualities class. she is a bit disorganized but makes up for it in spirit. She is very eccentric and very fun human being. great professor, fun class. Book is semi-necessary for the test but most of it is common sense

Comment:

Took this over winter so going into it I knew it would be a lot to cover in about 4 weeks. Angela was very caring and always made clear what assignments were due and when the exams would be. She was very understanding that a class that fast pace is hard and gave everyone several opportunities to earn extra credit. She also dropped one exam.

I really enjoyed her class. I took the winter semester which was super condensed and a lot of work, but she made it as fun as possible. Really interesting content and LOTS of extra credit opportunities. The tests are timed and seem short, but I always ended up having extra time at the end. I definitely recommend taking her class!

A solid teacher. She is easy on grading, gives a lot of opportunity to ace the class and the lectures are always interesting. She can be a bit clumsy and messy sometimes, but very great besides that!

Comment:

Dr. Simon is a great and intelligent professor. She always makes the class, notes, & exams fun with little jokes and pictures. She knows and cares a lot about the topics she lectures on. Her study guides are precise and exams are open-note. Her notes are printed w/ MOST of the info from the books, so textbooks aren't totally necessary. Fun class!

A HUGE mess. Her study guides were completely useless. Tests were ridiculous and made no sense. She tries to make things fun but just further confuses everyone. She takes forever to grade assignments and is a complete hard ass. Believes in lowering your grade if you use "anti-feminist" language aka referring to a subject as HE. Ridiculous.

Comment:

She's very funny and nice and likes to joke around in class which makes her amiable. There's only one group project, but it's very simple. Make sure to get the text and refer back to it before tests, because there's a lot she doesn't necessarily cover in her notes or her lectures. She's also interested in the paranormal, if that interests you.

My classmates had a tough time here because they didn't pay attention in class. If you pay attention, it's really easy to succeed here! She also offers extra credit. Like a lot of it.

I took Professor Simon's on-line Psych 5 class. I loved her! She was really responsive to my questions. I asked her about the testing because it was really weird at first, but once she explained that her tests are concept based which require you to think about the 'psychological approach' being used I did much better. Participation is a MUST

Comment:

Angela is a caring professor for her students. This semester I took her for two classes, she is the most disorganized person ever. Lectures are all verbal, she will have a few notes here and there but it isn't relevant to her exams. I would have never taken her if I had this knowledge of her disorganization. She provides extra credit but limits it.

Comment:

She is nice but the hardest assignment in her online class are the test. The test are mostly her opinionated questions and she makes them extremely confusing but if you take her then make sure you do every extra credit opportunity. This class is the hardest class. You will have to study information alot and know what the concept is in the chapter.

Beware her Psychology online class the test is not a piece of cake and it is not ordinary multiple choice question and most of them are fill in the blank questions on the test. You will have to read many times for you to remember and if you do not read then you will not pass the test. She is caring and will give extra credit opportunity.

She is alright but it is impossible to pass her test if you do not read and study to understand the information because her test are not multiple choice question that you would expect and her study guide is a little useful but it is not related to what you are suppose to study and you will have couple of discussion.

Comment:

I would recommend taking Psychology with her online but beware you will have to read every week to study for the test and test are not easy if you do not read. You will have test and discussion in the semester and the discussion she will expect you to write clear and if you do not write clear then you will loose point in the discussion.
