The most rude professor Ive had in my life. Gives a ridiculous amount of work and is nasty on top of it when you ask her questions. People throughout the semester dropped the class and withdrew from the class and I wish I did the same. She schedules mandatory SUNDAY NIGHT video chat calls with the class. Horrible prof and didnt learn a thing

Comment:

Shes not the WORST person in the world. Pretty bad professor, but do the right things and you'll do okay. NEVER use tech in class (no phone/laptop), ask her to clarify things, do assignments, and use the textbook generously. Had a dense 5 part paper that was split throughout semester. Did great after adding her corrections. Take her if you HAVE to.

I want to go on record by saying that Arlene Furfero is without doubt the worst professor, and honestly one of the worst human beings I have ever encountered. She is miserable and she thrives on making already-stressed-out college students' lives incredibly difficult. The fact that she still has a job with this university is outright laughable.

Absolutely worst professor at SJU hands down. Not only is her class terrible and I did not learn anything but she is the most rude and condescending person I have ever met. Acts like she is better than everyone else and is straight up disrespectful. It 's a disgrace she still works at a school like St. John's.

Ive had some professors that werent my cup of tea at sju, but Ive never felt the need to use this website. She is not only a bad teacher, but an inconsiderate human being. She doesnt care if her students pass and shows little respect to them. I chose her bc it fit my schedule but DONT! I didnt believe the reviews until too late. DONT TAKE!

Absolutely the worst possible professor you can take... DO NOT TAKE. She is condescending, rude, and frankly a sight for sore eyes. Answers emails with one word "no's". She absolutely does not care if you pass her class, it seems like she would honestly prefer it if all her students fail. Class started with 22 students. Now we have 6. DO NOT TAKE.

This is by far the worst professor you will ever have. Class consisted of meetings that were once every 2 weeks on a SUNDAY from 7-830 pm and quizzes that were through mcgraw hill and extremely hard yet you could find some of the answers online. She doesn't care if you pass, fail, get hit by public safety she does. not. care. about her students

Worst teacher I ever had in my entire life. I didn't learn anything but how to arrange a powerpoint. She is extremely rude and has no sympathy whatsoever. The final was extremely long and had a lot of content that was barely taught. Save your time and DO NOT PICK HER!!

MUST STAY AWAY!! Her teaching is based on a powerpoint in which she sometimes spends 15 minutes criticizing on how a slide was made. She uses up the whole hour and 25 minutes to its fullest. She doesn't like the textbooks teaching but you still need it for her online quizzes. The final has 8 questions but on nothing she fully taught so it's hard af

DO NOT TAKE!!!! Every class she shows a powerpoint that speaks on each chapter. The only time she interrupts is to give rants on politics or the economy. She gives quizzes online, which have nothing to do with what was taught in class. The final is impossible. The final consisted of graphs which she had never taught was to do. Do not recommend her!

I graduated in 2011 as an Econ major, only prof that made lasting impression. Took several of her classes, briefly participated in fed challenge, it may seem crazy, but she makes you challenge yourself and think outside the box. Her class was about more than mc questions, it was about thinking, knowing the basics of the financial world we live in.

Here's the thing: she makes you not want to go to class and discourages learning. She'll pull up her gradebook in front of the whole class to single out a student/students. Her lectures aren't lectures, she reads off a narrated powerpoint that we go over multiple times. 10/10 would not recommend STAY AWAY!

Comment:

Her tests are tough and her group project is really stressful. It's easy to feel defeated because she's a tough grader and can sometimes be harsh. My advice to anyone that has to take her would be go to office hours and make sure you know exactly what she wants.

Worst Professor I've ever taken. Gives lengthy assignments every week with no purpose to them, treats everyone as an idiot and gives bad grades to everyone. Doesn't teach, basically just speaks down on everyone. Worst possible final ever, didn't teach any of the material and expects you to know the most difficult things.
