Comment:

Lots of self study work. Provides lots of material for reference, lenient with HW. Understanding of software issues, HARD mid-term and FINAL . Takes weekends off stay on top of it, do the work be consistent and you will do well. I wrk full time took this class, a sociology class and a pilates class and received a B.

Comment:

Took the online class, was fast paced and self study. Midterm was fair. I had a consistent low A entire semester. Took final, was unfair and a disaster. A practice final was offered, but it was for a Professor Bernstein class and was no where close to actual final. Was misled for final. I feel upset now. She takes weekends off.

Comment:

I took the online class and it was basically self-study. It moves very quickly and her "lectures" are pretty much a joke. However, having the B-Problems were helpful in taking the (open-book) exams, and she is very lenient in grading (lots of extra credit). I think if she sees you are serious and work hard, she will go easy on you.

Comment:

Lectures are very unclear - uses Excel spreadsheets with calculations and no explanations. Doesn't respond to emails promtly - only 3 times a week (in the mornings). Midterm was very difficult - class average was 60% and highest grade was 81%. Would highly recommend not taking her - very poor instruction/teaching.

Ms. Roche was extremely disorganized. She failed to complete things when she said she would. She had instructional materials (examples) that were WRONG. That's pretty weak in a field like accounting where correct numbers matter. I proofread my work and submit if on time; she should, too. Avoid.

seems like she use to be a good teacher because she is very smart and knowlageble. Too old to teach now, though. She is very confused and has zero pationt for students. Doesn't stick to the book. Hard tests

This is a difficult class and more mathematical than acct. 1. Professor Roche is the head of the department and been around for a long time. Her method of teaching is effective but a little old school. She works out lots of problems on overhead projector.

tough class...take schapa hes much easier as long as you attend class. hes a nice guy too...with lots of stories to tell.
