Dr. Garcia was responsible for transforming my life in an extremely positive manner. He recognized my strengths in working with language learners, educational administration to the point that he was responsible for encouraging me to work as an adjunct lecturer at CSUB. I ended up teaching this course for over 10 years. He is truly a visionary!

Really great teacher who motivates you to teach like him. Has a great sense of humor in both English and Spanish. Makes the class as easy as possible while still teaching. Very helpful and dedicated to making sure everyone understands the topic and why it's being gone over. Highly recommend.

Easy class, but sooo boring. He talks about his life most of the time, so you have to read the chapters to get any information. Short chapter summaries due every couple weeks. 1 group powerpoint presentation. Easy midterm, can use notes and book on final. I would recommend him just because he is easy, just try to stay awake!

Dr. Garcia is the easiest professor I've ever taken. He takes roll, so you have to show up to class. In saying that, the class is pretty boring; it will be a chore just to stay awake. There are a few chapter summaries to complete and a group powerpoint presentation; overall, this is the easiest class and professor to take. Highly recommended.

Too much group stuff. And the problem is, if you're stuck with a group who doesn't work hard, oh well. I got a very unfair grade on our group presentation. Fortunately, he graded fairly leniently on the tests. I liked him as a teacher but he needs to rethink the group presentations.

Very boring. Left it up to the students to find the answers with no help from him. He likes to leave the classroom a lot. Most of what he talks about doesn't pertain to the exams. He does give helpful tips with communicating when you teach.
