Comment:
For homework, Professor Pence makes you learn how to use a software with confusing instructions that must be video taped when she does examples during class. She does not update all of your grades on canvas. She name-calls students when they dont know the answer, making some students feel discouraged. If you are sensitive enroll at your own risk.

Professor Pence is very passionate about what she teaches, she seems quirky but she is always opened to answering questions if you ask her privately. If she sees that you are trying and asking questions, she can be very nice and caring. She tells you exactly what's on the test and lets you have a half sheet of notes to use during the exams.

Shes the worst professor Ive ever had. Her lectures are all over the place. She never knows where shes at mentally during her lectures. She likes to pick on particular students that clearly struggle in math. She makes the class feel awkward and uncomfortable sometimes. Try to avoid taking her

If you have a disability do not take this Professor! She does not work with the accessible education center and make your life a nightmare if you take tests in a different room. She also announces to the class about your disability which is uncool and forgets everything you talk about which makes arranging tests impossible.

Pence is the worst professor ever. She is way too old to be teaching. She forgets everything in a matter of seconds. She is so rude and degrades studenta in front of the class. Her grading does not make sense even to herself. She needs to be reprimanded for her ill behavior and mood swings. She should not be allowed to teach.

She is the most unhelpful, unclear, rude math professor I have ever had. When you ask her a question she either dismisses you, tells you off, or helps, depends on her mood. During her lectures she makes a lot of mistakes and gets confused therefore confusing us. Just another bad math teacher to add to my never ending list of bad math teachers.

Pence is sweet and knowledgeable, but oftentimes both she and the students would get lost in her lectures. Her explanations and projects may seem pointless, but they really helped me get a better grasp of the concepts. She will provide help if you ask, so long as you show that you're trying. She asks high-performing students help those struggling.

She is without a doubt the worst teacher I have ever had. If you are not doing well, be prepared for her to call you out in front of the entire class. Her directions are always very unclear and asking questions will get you even more confused. If you can avoid taking her class, DO IT.

She is a nice lady. Very knowledgeable in the field of math and she seems she loves mathematics. Teaching it is another story. She is confusing and for a simple subject, she over complicates it. Her favorite phrase is "where am I?" Midterm and Final are based on quizzes and a bit from projects. Easy A if you can put up with her confusing lessons.

Pence tends to make very simple concepts confusing. She overcomplicated basic math (for elementary schoolers...) She has bad hearing, which sometimes makes for confusion. She is quite kind, but can be rude when a stupid question is asked (I would be too.)

Professor Pence is a really nice lady. The class can get a little confusing at times, however she is always willing to help her students. Students need to cut her some slack, she is trying to best she can. I believe her class is very fair, she does provide many opportunities to get points. Many projects which can help boost your grade!

She is not too helpful, our class was literally confused most of the time. We unfortunately had to stick through the class since no other professors were teaching the course. For lack of better words, she was a bit mean, confusing, inconsistent. Just stick it through, but you've been warned.

Same teaching method as 105. She is a sweet lady that doesn't always understand her student's needs. She cares about their success though. Lectures, projects and quizzes are all related.

Pence is one of the worst teachers I've ever had in my life. She doesn't teach very well, most of the time the whole class was confused and we would rather not ask her to explain because she would confuse us more.

Very nice and helpful teacher. her lecture supper clear about the important points from each chapter. I have her 105 and 106 classes. I strongely recommand to take her class if you want to learn and get A in her class because quizes and exams form her lecture and projects. Plus, she is there to help anytime and want you to know the stuff.

I almost feel bad saying this, because I can tell Professor Pence was at one time a good professor, but if you can take any other professor for Math 12, 105, or 106, do it! She has no idea what's going on half of the time, and she gets really angry when you ask questions. When you are able to figure out what she wants, the work is pretty easy.

Her teaching style is confusing and she seems to hate people that ask for a lot of clarification. Sometimes she will not answer questions about the work at hand, especially if you challenge her, she takes it real personal. She had told us that she was going to drop our lowest quiz score and recently said "oh I lied!" unbelievable!

Her teaching style is confusing. She likes using the computer to explain but it just confuses the students more. Grading styles were kind of flaky but if you ask her for help she is very willing and very helpful.
