Professor Philips is arguably one of the worst professors I've had in a while, I cant begin to convey how awfully uninspired I was in class, there aren't any assignments and you're graded strictly by three tests. She gives you an extra credit assignment at face value seems easy, until she marks the TEXTBOOK ANSWERS as incorrect. Avoid at all costs.

Bad attitude, loves talking about her life stories, teaches slow she just reads off the syllabus, emergencies are not taken if you have a note shes still going to markcyou absent

This professor is fine. This is college, not high school, you have to take notes and study. She goes a little slow, so just bring a coffee with you to class. I suggest not skipping classes because she doesn't like to repeat herself, and you may miss some important info. The textbook is really helpful to help understand what is on her outlines.

Take my advice and switch to another class if you have her I did not like her at all. Not helpful, condescending, and very very very old fashioned. She did not lecture, just read from textbook. I received an A but that was only because I memorized her handouts and made about 1000 flashcards. Only good thing is that she does offer extra credit.

One of my favorite professors at Kingsborough. She is very flexible and understanding. I enrolled in her 3 pm class, but she let us go to any of her classes, which i thought was very convenient. She is very fair, the class is easy and you don't really need the book because all the info is in the outlines that she gives out. Love her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Professor switched last minute. For the duration of the semester I could not fathom how she could be educating the class about learning processes and such. Her way of teaching is to read straight from the outlines she prepares - which come straight out of the textbook. No questions, no comments, just sit and listen. Not the best method of teaching.

So the slider above for helpfulness, I was trying to drag it to the negative side since you aren't allowed to even ask educated questions pertaining to her lectures. It's more a boring sermon where you sit and aren't allowed to leave, charge phones, eat, drink, breathe. No hw, and tests aren't hard. Read outlines and you can get an A. Just boring

I was very excited about this class, being that I love psychology and wanted to learn as much as I could. What I did learn was that some professors are not meant to teach. She's a nice lady, but a terrible professor. Boring, unclear, doesn't like participation or students asking questions. I would not recommend her. Horrible experience.

The worst class ever! Does not give reviews, give tons of outline and whats on the test is not what you studied for. Pays so much attention to what phone is plugged in or who comes in and out the class. Really wish i did not take this class. TAKE HER AT YOUR OWN RISK

Dr. Phillips isn't exactly the most dynamic professor, but she is definitely more than fair. She gives 6 exams, plus a paper for an extra grade. She then gives extra credit for almost every exam, except the final and drops the lowest grade. All you have to do really is read her outlines and reread the chapts over and over for an easy A! Seriously!

lol guys :) do you reallyy think this class was hard? nooo. Boring- yes, but sefinately not hard. The only thing you need to do is to read te outline few times before the test. 6 tests with the multiple choice, many extra credits, theonly thing that was hard for me was the final, by this was only my bad, i was too relaxed. I got B =)

I honestly had a very difficult time in this class, but my most annoying experience was whenever someone asked questions there was NEVER a direct answer. She payed too much attention on what we were doing or not doing as a class instead of trying to make the class better. She does give outlines but I would suggest to have the textbook or a tutor

Seriously I hated going to that class. so boring! I love psy but she made me hate it :( she's mean and gets mad when you ask questions. The only good thing would be the outlines she gives us, contains everything you need to know. Most importantly if you didn't drink coffee prepare to be addicted 'cause you will need it!

I love Psychology but Prof. Phillips was never enthusiastic about anything. She rarely ever caught my attention and she hates participation. She has a monotonous tone and completely lacks the drive to assist you. However, she gives outlines, so just study them and you'll be alright. Not recommended if you want to pursue a career in this field.

OMG THE MOST AWSOME PROFESSOR EVER. yes she has some weird rules and is kindah unclear but.... she gives outlines with which if you spend ( literally 30 minutes reading ) you can pass her tests like nothing ATTENDANCE IS NOT MANDATORY yes its that good easy grade, take this especially if you have other difficult classes to worry about.aka nursing.
