Professor Eskew was extremely easy. He concentrates his lectures on important grammatical issues like punctuation. He's extremely helpful and at times lenient. You have weekly spelling quizzes and class discussions. The essays pertain to interesting topics and he grades fairly easy. I received an A+ and I'm not a great writer. A must take professor

overall easy teacher. the lectures got a bit boring after a while but he was very helpful, and answered any questions i had regarding papers. he allowed people to rewrite papers with their corrections in order to get a higher grade. very kind and overall good teacher.

Prof. Eskew is kind and very helpful. The lectures overall are boring but they kill time and usually are very helpful with essays and the quizzes taken in that class. The class is mainly made up of essays but there are not to bad. so overall, a easy class.

Pretty cool professor. The lectures are boring so bring an i-pod or do your hw in there; you'll still be alright cuz all you got to do is write essays and if you're good on that, you're good to go and you'll pass the class. Spelling tests are given which are boring and grading is picky but it'll help you in Eng. 1A

REALLY HARD PROFESSOR.....THAT AT BEGGINING OF THE CLASS ON THE FIRST DAY, 10 PEOPLE DROP HIS CLASS AFTER HE FINISH TELLING US HIS EXPECTETIONS....GRADES REALLY HARD ON EVERYTHING SUCH AS GRAMMAR ...ESSAYS...ECT......HE FAILS ALOT OF PEOPLE ....

DOn't take him ....if don't like to have a lot of work ....i mean like 3 essays a week min. 1000 words each and vocabulary test's of 100 words...plus journals everyday min. 100 words ... he grades hard on the essays that if make more than 5 mistakes of grammar you get a F+ for the papper, he is really old and talks and walks like a robot.

don't take him in summer...almost one week two major paper,every single day journal,1 spelling test<cover over 1oo words>,1 gramma test and another additional assignment,in sum too many assignments..take in summer is not easy to handle

You might think he is a hard ass, but really he's not. He's a nice guy, he put up with me. Mr. Eskew teaches you everything you need, even spelling (he loves his spelling tests). You will be well prepared for whatever english class you take next. talks like a robot.can get boring.but gotta love him

Easy class. If you know how to write papers and spell words, there shouldn't be a problem. Though, if you don't like to write a lot of papers, he isn't the best choice, there is a total of about 7 or 8 papers throughout the semester.
