My favorite professor I've ever had. Its been 3 years since I took his class but I enjoyed every second of it, wish I took the other courses he offered. Tests were great, his lectures were really interesting and if you took good notes you can ace the essay questions. A little intimidating to approach, but he really cares about his students.

Good professor. Didn't have to do any essays except for a final project which are just article responses. You take 3 exams. He's very passionate about what he teaches, very knowledegable. If you are not a textbook reader, i suggest not to take this class. A lotttt of his discussions come straight from the text - the exams too.

Comment:

Guy was an awesome teacher. Took him over the summer and he was fantastic. Answered any questions you had. Tests were easy as long as you took any notes. Final project was time consuming but not difficult, dont put off to last minute. Would take him again in a heartbeat.

A knowledgeable man, with the rigid dogmatic educational expectations of a robot. The least reasonable man I have ever met in my life(I quiver in realization that I consider him man). Expects students to repeat HIS dribble in exact phrase no matter how cliche and impercise. Opened my eyes to AmericanHeritage.com-great resource, a terrible human.

i would urge others to not take his classes. while he is very knowledgeable he does not teach well, has no personality, and his tests are extremely difficult. very traditional and all out strict. needs to get off his high horse.

I must say, I HATE history and if you are not a history person, I recommend this guy. As long as you show up and take good notes, you will be fine. He offers extra credit that is an extra 5 points on our final average grade. Def worth it. He made the class enjoyable overall! I would take him again if I needed another history class. He's good!! :]

I always hated history... it could NEVER hold my attention. This is a GREAT professor that actually helped me LEARN HISTORY. He is not easy and if youre lazy dont take him. If you want someone to teach you something, you couldnt ask for anything better. Pay attention in class, take notes, and study them- you will do well!! I would take him again!!!

I don't know what all of these people are talking about saying he's great. I am a very hard worker, and I pay attention, and i'm not terrible in History, but i did not do well in this class. He talks fast, you must take at least 5 pages of notes a class, NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

Great professor, he looks just like Mr.Burns from The Simpsons, even does the hand rub!. But he is a great professor. Knows history and it shows. He always makes the lectures entertaining.

A very, very strict professor but honestly one of the best I've ever had. You can tell he really takes pride in his work. A hard grader but as long as you read the text and write solid notes, you should do all right. Lazy people should not take his class.

Kind of strict, gives you 3 tests which are long essays or multiple choice. Topics are interesting but alot of notes. Gives extra credit for total grade of 10 points. If you like history you shouldnt have a problem, grades a bit hard on the essays so dont go in detail.
