A+ teacher. I took 3 classes with Mr. Irwin and got an A in all of them. All I did was record his lectures, and listen to them before the exams. Pretty much gives you all the answers on his lectures.

This guy is a good prof. He knows his stuff, and can answer almost any question you ask him. He talks a lot, so be ready to take some notes. I learned more fom this guy than I thought I would. If you can take a class with him, do it.

This guy is a complete retard. He does not know his stuff. Told the class he failed his certification test and did not have a copy of the text book. Worst part is that he repeats everything 100 times. Most annoying teacher I have ever had. Will never take another class with him.

Be prepared to take major notes first off, not all the questions from the tests are on the notes, anything he mentions or puts up on the board may be test material. Usually its general computer knowledge, but thats just a heads up. Irwin really knows what he's talking about and I would take him again in a heartbeat.

A really good teacher and he does such a great job of speaking very clearly in front of the class. He is a very formal & straight forward teacher and is also a really friendly guy who is easy to talk to one-on-one. The course by nature does have a lot of studying, but the teacher did an excellent job teaching & laying out the material very nicely.

Great Teacher, be prepared to take some major notes. Not much useage of the text book until the end of the semester. Try to attend every class because you can't afford to miss those review questions which are fair game for the tests which are not too easy.

Irwin knows nothing, he reads the book to you and can't answer most of your questions. His test questions come from the back of the book, but he will not give you the answers to those questions, so if your studying the wrong answers, he doesn't care. Might as well read the book and take the test on your own.

This is truly a fantastic course and Mr. Irwin is a fantastic teacher!!! Though, this course is desgined for the student who is going to go into the computer/networking field. This course has a LOT of material that you will cover within one semester. If you want to learn, take this with Mr. Irwin.

Very smart but boring at times. When he tell jokes, nobody gets it because he uses the same tone. He knows his material and he can back what he talks 110%. If you are in networking, then take his classes and make sure you pay attention. I just wish he took a course in beeing more alive.

This guy is a really great teacher and a great person to get to know. He brings so much more to the class than what is offered in the books. He is a real professional and I really liked the class a lot. Just make sure to study for his class, but it may just come with the territory of the course.

AAA+++ -- I've taken many cources at this school, and I really havent had a teacher as good as Mr. Irwin. He's just excellent!! I also really liked the Networking dept. at SCC, I found there program to be really good & up to date!
