Comment:
Stewart was a great professor. It was always abundantly clear what he wanted from us because he wrote a course manual containing a ton of (optional) practice problems and practice exams that were just like the real ones. A lot of people complain that he shoos away questions, but as long as he can tell you tried first, hell answer.

Stewart is a great professor. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't go you won't pass. He goes over everything you need to know for the tests in class and gives your ample practice problems that are the exact same as the tests. The only grades are the 4 tests and online homework. He is hilarious and makes it easy to learn.

Very intimidating. Grade is also based solely on 3 exams. He gives good resources such as practice problems and a practice exam to help students prepare for exams. Very strict professor, will kick students out of class for talking or using cell phone.

Stewart isn't everything he's made out to be. More than anything he just expects you to do your work. He makes everything very clear in lecture and if you just do the practice problems you'll pass easily. Make use of his practice exams because theyre just like the real tests!!

Stewart is a great professor but his class is SO HARD. The only grades are tests and they are so difficult. Attendance is not mandatory but if you don't go you will NOT do well (I learned that the hard way). He teaches everything very well, with lots of examples, but to do well on tests you need to put in a LOT of work on your own time.

Enthusiastic about the subject, and I wish I could be too, but he really flies through his lectures. It's hard to keep notes when he is talking so fast and sometimes jumps around. He doesn't seem fond of students, since he frequently shoos questions deemed "silly." You have to match exactly to his teaching style or you won't do well. Many dropped.

His lectures cover everything you need to know, but he flies through the material. Class is not mandatory, but you have to go to pass. He is not very approachable and brags about the fact that hes never helped a student do a problem in office hours before. He really isn't that bad though, and he is pretty funny.

Comment:
His lectures are clear and easy to follow along although the material is tough. However only part of your grade are the 4 exams that are not curved. Aside from the grading aspect. He is a rude, dismissive, and horrid man who should really just retire because he does not care to help his students.

Stewart is a very hilarious and fun man. His lectures were so clear and he made everything so simple it was easy to grasp. The tests are hard but it's to clear out the people who don't work for the grade. He was open to answering questions asked in class. Homework is optional but you won't pass if you don't do it. Stinks only grades are tests.

Really just throws the material out there and expects you to grab it out of space and somehow follow along with his lengthy lectures. 53 people dropped from my class.

Dr. Stewart is a great. Everything in that class is black and white. If you go to class, copy everything down exactly as he writes it on the board, and really know the notes like the back of your hand, you will do well in his class. His tests are EXACTLY like the practice tests he gives you. The people who complain about him didn't put in the time.

Comment:
Dr. Stewart demands student's respect and attendance in class. Your grade depends only on 3 difficult exams and 1 standardized final, and he is not helpful at all in office hours. While he provides practice exams, he is very arrogant and makes you feel like an idiot, often refusing to answer questions that are a waste of his time.

GO TO CLASS. Stewart has set his class up in such a way that you are pretty much SOL if you miss class. He also shows little willingness to actually help his students learn material. If you go to office hours he will chastise you for not understanding. His exams are brutal. Start studying very early, or you're screwed. Every question is a trick.

Go to class! Everything you need to know will be covered by him on the board. The text book is only needed for practice problems, so if you can share with someone else you can save yourself some money. The practice exams are very similar to the exams you will take, so do them and understand them. If you put in the work, his class is easy.

Prof. Stewart was my favorite teacher freshman year. His teaching style has been so refined over the years that it's almost rehearsed. I always did well in his class, and even though everyone else seems convinced his class was hard, I have to say it was relatively easy. He's an aged, charismatic teacher with a lovable cartoon-like personality.

Stewart is by far one the of best professors Miami has to offer. Yes, he is tough, but that's because he wants you to know your stuff. This isn't high school chemistry people, you are going to be more challenged than you ever have before. He does have a strong personality, but get to know him, let him know you actually care, and he's great!

He gives very good notes, but if you ask him for help he will basically just tell you to check them. You need to study a lot for his tests and he likes to throw in little tricks in his questions. He is a good teacher if you feel like you won't need to ask him anything.

very good at explaining things and gives great notes. Only issue is if you need help on a question he basically tells you that he has already asnwered it in the notes and turns you away. he expects a lot from his students and his test are murder. he doesnt grade homework but you have to motivate yourself to do the suggested problems or you will fai
