Dr. Janz is the absolute best. He is an amazing teacher, super sweet, and gives awesome feedback. I honestly wish I could take him again! Pay attention in class, participate, ask good questions, and prepare for his quizzes and you'll do well.

Janz is such a babe. Funny guy. Imagine David Spade, but instead of being an actor, he went to college and became educated. That's basically Janz. If you're into Dad-bods, you won't be disappointed. You will want to invite him to your cookout, let him grill your burgers, and call you and your friends "sport" and "champ." He even wears dad shoes.

This guy is amazing and without a doubt, one of the best professors you will EVER have. Dr. Janz genuinely cares about his students and goes to great lengths to stay in contact long after class is over. He will not take any B.S. or excuses, but if you pay attention, you will be fine.

Dr. Janz was my favorite instructor in my MBA program. I can't recommend his class enough. He not only cared that the students learned the material but actually cares for his students. He presents information that is useful to students. If you are lucky enough to be in a program where he is teaching, take a class! UofM is blessed to have him.

Absolutely a wonderful teacher and a beautiful human being. The material is kinda boring for a non techi like myself, but he really makes it interesting. I learned tons in the class project, but can hardly remember a thing from the textbook, except that fiber optic cables are faster than copper wire. This guy really cares about his students. Thanks

Great teacher! One of the best I have had in my school career. Actually cares, so if you have a problem or questions, he will help you. Took this class online and material/group project wasn't too difficult, but you had to do the work! Wish I could have taken him for other classes. Read/listen to lectures and you will be fine!

Dr. Janz is a great teacher! Took the class online. Lectures are very well thought out. Group project and mid-terms are not terribly difficult if you do the reading and listen to the lectures. Highly recommended!

If you're going to take more classes than usual, or just a really tough one, this class is a great supplement to fill out your schedule. Being online, it gives you lots of flexibility. Just try to schedule your work gradually, and not pile a bunch of participation into 1 or 2 days - he doesn't grade that too well.

Easy-going and helpful. Taken as online course, so chapter lectures were straightforward and easy to listen to. Monthly article assignments were not difficult. Use time wisely on exams, as there is only 1 hour to complete. Exams were T/F and short essay. Project paper takes time, so start work on it early.

Great Teacher. He cares that you get a great understanding of the material and he cares about his students. The departmentalized tests can't be avoided but he takes what is otherwise boring, redundant material and keep you interested and involved. He funny too; covers a lot of material but doesn't make it difficult. I give him a 10!

He's a very funny and caring teacher. He tries to make sure that you understand the material, and understands that you're not all MIS majors. Would definitely try and get him. He's great.
