Dr. Knee is fantastic! Highly recommend for Honors students. Small class of 15. Final consisted of a field observation plan, presentation, and report. Attendance is taken every lecture. His lectures are very interesting and can hold attention for 2 1/2 hours! He is GREAT. Graded by few things so attendance is important. Work hard for the A.

Comment:

Provided old versions of the textbooks online so we did not have to go out of our way to buy them. The class was small and he lectured straight from the reading materials, but was engaging and encouraged class discussion by tying psychological principles to real-life experiences. Final consists of a fun field observation plan and a presentation.

Chip is great. Super relaxed and just wants students to have a good time in class. The readings are interesting and he has them all in PDFs. If you take this class though make sure you're ready to talk to him before he lets you schedule it as he only approves 15 students for the course. Also very influential research professor so get to know him.

He's definitely the professor you want to take for Social Psych. Really easy class if you COME to class, take good notes -cuz that's the test. Sometimes disorganized, gets himself confused, but it wasn't anything too big or often. Easy A.

This class was soo much fun! Dr. Knee's lectures are always sooo interesting. He says from the beginning that the textbook is not required and if you take notes during his lectures, it's everything you'll need to know for the tests. Every test has a review sheet and has everything that's on each test. NO FINAL or papers! He also gives extra credit.

Awesome professor! HIGHLY recommend. This has been one of my favorite psyc classes. He doesn't require a textbook - YAY! Attendance isn't MANDATORY, but you have to go if you want notes! It wasn't hard making myself go b/c it's interesting; time flies by! There are 3 tests (MC + short answer), no HW, & quite a bit of extra credit available :)

This has been by far one of my favorite classes at UH. Knee is a fantastic professor, he's so engaging and his lectures are so interesting. I can't recommend him enough, he instilled a passion for Social Psych in me that has altered the direction of my educational career.

Pretty cool. You have to come to class though because tests are directly from the lectures. As long as you pay attention and do a little studying for the tests you will do fine. Best part was NO BOOK!!!!!

LOVED THIS CLASS AND THIS MAN! He is soo open and ridiculously interesting. I loved everyday of it. Review sheet is like exam. However exams are not so easy. It is critical thinking and application of learned material (not definitions and such). Best teacher for this subject. He is funny and contemporary. TAKE IT EVERYONE!

this class was awesome. you dont need a book, just come to class everyday with a laptop if you have one and write down important facts and examples. the review sheet is exactly the topics on the tests. exchange review sheets with other people in case you missed something, dont skip class...do extra credit and you should get an A

Dr. Knee is a really gifted educator-- he is very engaging, informative and interested. I loved his lectures and I did learn from him, as opposed to memorizing and forgetting after the test. If you have the option, take a class with Dr. Knee.

he'll kepp you interested and u will definitely remember his lectures during exam taking. NIce, straight forward exams includes multiple choice and essay questions that you're guarrantied to ace.
