Dr. Luna is great all around; His instructions are crystal clear, causing failure to only occur intentionally, and he tells you exactly what is on the test. If you just copy what the slides say word for word, you will get an easy A on every test. The class is fun, easy, and you learn a whole lot of stuff.

Comment:

Took his 101/102 class in high school. One of the best professors I've had. He's super experienced, passionate about the subject, knows what he's talking about. Lectures were very interesting. Gives tons of extre credit opportunities. Would definitely take again.

I took his Poli Sci 101/102 class at my high school. We somehow started calling him Carl Tuna and since he appears as an expert on San Diego Fox News often, we call those interviews "the catch of the day". Fun class. Great guy.

Comment:

Luna is the best professor ever. He's very funny and creative, and can keep everyone interested, even if they don't give a rip about politics. Quizzes and essays are extremely easy. Exams are easy, but require a bit of studying. Textbooks are basically unused.

Took him in high school. Did not understand anything from the course, found it to be really hard but he grades easy so it's doable. The man is hilarious, has fascinating real life experiences to share. I wouldn't doubt it if he's a genius, he also sometimes appears on TV as an expert so he obviously knows and is passionate about his work

Fantastic teacher. Funny, intelligent, helpful. Books are not necessary (technically) but you'll want them if you want to pass his quizzes (once a week or so, 10 T or F questions) because they're straight from the book(s). If you do buy the books, the older versions will suffice.
