He's a cool person but the material is really hard and the department doesn't help you out. His tests are easy if you do the homeworks on your own. Lectures are boring and if you have him in the morning good luck trying to stay awake!

To be honest the physics course itself is very tough but Professor Ordonez makes it easy by giving extra credit points. You need to do a lot of self-study at home but the tests are always easier than you expect them to be.

Professor Ordonez , in my view is the best University physic professor UH has. I have taken other professors for physics and he is the only one who is willing to give you other study aids outside of just the text book. I just wanted to say, there are very few professors at UH that I can respect as a person, and he leads that pack. A great Professor

He knew the material and is very enthusiastic about teaching. He gives plenty of chances to answer questions in lecture. There is extra credit and he does curve at the end. He is a fun teacher and is available for office hours to answer questions. He does email if you email him.

He knew his material but didn't do a good job teaching because he just assumed that if one person understood what was happening in his class, everyone understood him. Don't get me wrong, he's caring and his dancing before the exams actually helped relieve a lot of stress.

Very difficult class, but if you put in the work, you can come out with a very deep and thorough knowledge of physics. He spends a lot of time on the theoretical, which I liked, but YMMV. Lectures move very fast, and it's easy to get lost while he's using all 6 chalkboards to derive the Bernoulli equation. He appreciates questions tho, so ask them

Lectures are not helpful. He mostly just derived equations. When he did go over examples, he would not finish them and said "you guys can figure that out." His tests are all multiple choice. He's nice on the grading as he provides a curve(may vary). For my class it was about 10 points. Also, has group project (easy) 5 bonus points towards grade.

Ask questions in class! If you don't understand something don't be afraid to ask, he is always willing to answer them until you understand. Make sure you understand the homework. He does lecture off of powerpoints, but it is most useful to have them printed and then take your own notes. He cares about his students and makes jokes in class.

His lectures are okay, he spends a lot of time deriving equations when solving problems might be more helpful. He's nice and cares about his students. His tests are fair, but multiple choice so there is not a chance for partial credit. Doing the hw and study guides are tedious but will help your grade in the end. Reading the book is a must.

Professor Ordonez is very passionate about the subject and shows his enthusiasm through all his lectures. Going to lecture is not mandatory but is quite helpful since he derives the equations. You will not pass without reading the book. He also does very well with spacing out the chapters allowing enough time to fully cover the material.

He lectures off power point slides that don't do much for getting the subject across to the class. It is more efficient to skip class and study the material on your own, since attendance isn't mandatory.

Professor Ordonez was an amazing teacher who wants his students to actually learn the subject. He gives extra credits to encourage students to participate and makes sure we understand the topics. He is always available and I found his method of teaching easier to help us understand the materials.

Dr. Ordonez is the best professor at UH. He explains the materiel and clarifies concepts vey well. His tests are similar to the work done in class, so no reason for making less than A. He offer extra credit for attendance and he curves. He is so helpful and available to answer questions even after class.

Just don't take physics at UH if you really really wanna learn like I did. I learned to love physics as I taught myself when I took this class but I didn't master it. If you really wanna master it just don't. save your money!! He's a super smart guy, just lacks teaching. Everything I learned wasn't from him, he just repeated what the book said.

People, the test bank used for 90% of the test questions is available online as well as the homework solutions. Study off of those and you will have NO PROBLEM. He is VERY confusing in his lectures I didn't attend 80% of the time. just remember Wolfson EUP3 test bank. You're welcome.

Pros: Extra Credit Understanding Helpful Emails back really fast Great lectures Positive Personality Cons: Accent can get in the way of his teaching Sometimes, what he is saying doesn't match up on what is on the board Overall: He is a good teacher whose tests were easy for me (Took AP Physics).

I had no previous background in physics except for a long time ago in high school. Dr. Ordonez's lectures didn't include power points (which i prefer) and had many clicker points which saved my grades. I did not pass one exam, but did okay on my final and made a B. The curve is really what saved me!! But be prepared to read the textbook religiously

Prof did handwritten notes only. He mostly worked book examples during lecture. Attendance was 10% of final grade. However, he did gave a bunch of extra credit. Tests were eh, but beware of the second test. He is helpful but lectures can go off topic at times such as when he talks about Newton. Other than that, it was not bad of a course.
