Carol is a nice person but not the best teacher. Assignments are not well integrated with class materials, expect to self-study to do well in the exams. However, her class is relatively easy as she provides second-chances and extra credit opportunities. Her teaching style lacks engagement and doesn't always demonstrate Psych concepts appropriately.

She Is amazing . She really wants you to pass and literally does everything in her power to give you a second chance to try to pass a the class by turning in late assignments or retaking test . She provides lots of extra credit . You dont even have to read the textbook she goes through slides straight out of the textbook. Notes allowed !!!!

Carol is so enthusiastic and sweet. You get to use notes on the tests, and have test retakes with 1/2 credit back for each right answer. You don't really need to go to class, because everything is online, but attendance is graded so it's worth going. 7 reading responses, fairly easy just takes a while. Overall, very easy class and easy A.

I love her philosophy, she lets you use your own notes during the test. We have to write a reflection for each chapter we went over but her lectures are so fun and easy to understand that the writing isn't painful.

Every day that you come to class, you will recognize the slides. Theyre taken directly from the book. All tests are open note. As long as you record notes directly from the slideshow, you'll be good to go. About once a week there are reading reviews. If you do happen to fall behind, Carol is very understanding. I'd only take the class for credit.

Best teacher I have had at WCC , i rated her highly because she is infact a real Gem, she is quirky and positive and more than willing to help you succeed. The only catch there is you have to want to succeed. There are readings but most are interesting and showing up to class is almost always fun. I learned a lot and took multiple classes with her.

Carol's class was easy enough. A lot of people complain about all the reading and writing; but as long as you do it you'll easily pass. She offers several extra credit opportunities, and she allows notes on the test. The only thing is that she can be hard to connect with-especially reguarding topics specific to Psych, which was kind of frustrating.

Wilkinson is an eccentric, bubbly professor. Her lectures are interesting, and she explains concepts easily and in an engaging way. Homework is actually pretty fun. Tests can be difficult, but most of the subject matter comes straight from her powerpoints and lectures. Definitely would recommend this class!

DON'T TAKE HER CLASS. She's a great person and likes to help her students but she is the worst teacher I have ever had. She doesnt teach her subject she just reads rhetorical questions off her powerpoints. If you want to learn anything you have to read the book. My friend changed her major from psych because of this class. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!

If I had to pick a favorite professor at Whatcom, she would be it. Her psych classes helped me find my path. So I took them all! Her lectures are very interesting, she is good at getting everyone involved and making real life connections. Her tests were not a breeze but I did well by showing up everyday and reading the book on top of the lectures.

Took Carols class thinking it would be an easy A... Although you will have to read the text to do well on exams, Carol puts extremely helpful information on the power points that she has everyday in class. If you can get past the crude sexual jokes that no one ever seems to laugh at making class awkward.. then take her class.

I have had Carol for several classes. Her demeanor is very unassuming and at first I thought her tests would be easy but they are not! It is important to pay attention in class to what she says that is not on the power point. Also she uses questions from the book so make sure you study well. She allows notes and also opportunities for extra credit.

Carol is a very interesting and funny professor, I enjoyed her class a lot. The tests are hard, and she doesn't prepare students well for them, but there are enough reflections and extra credit that you can still do well in her class if you do them all. She does let you take notes for the tests, but I didn't find the notes that helpful.

Carol was absolutely amazing!! I learned so much from her class, people say that she was easy and I can see where they are coming from -I think it's her teaching mechanism of clarity and she makes the class fun to where you forget you're learning. I would recommend her to anyone! She is adorable and extremely personable.

Carol is a very nice lady who is quirky, and interested in seeing her students get a good grade. She is very easy - a little too easy at times. You need to show up to her class b/c she docks you if you don't, but overall this class was not challenging in any way. If you want a good grade, take her, if you want to be challenged or intrigued, don't.
