Comment:

I agree with what's been said. Things got much better at the end, but overall Carolyn did not respect us as future teachers, nor were her assessments respectful of our time. Her pedagogy is not matching what we're taught as teachers - will drill you until you give the answer she wants.

Comment:

I really wanted to like Prof Colvin because she seems like a knowledgeable and experienced educator; however, she is very difficult to communicate with and oftentimes comes across as judgemental and critical over minor things. Clearly cares about her content, but struggles to connect with students and discussion is often brutal.

Comment:

Avoid whenever possible. This rating may sound mean, but I honestly wish I knew what I was getting into with her class. While her course isn't particularly challenging, course objectives and assignment instructions are vague at best. Carolyn also lacks respect for her students as individuals. She wants you to participate, but only if you agree.
