Davis is who you look at on how not to teach. Handwriting unreadable, examples in class easiest you've ever seen. HW problems look like they came from advanced calc book and don't help prepare for tests. Slow speaker, only gives one hour for test in 2 hour class so he can lecture the rest. Cost me many points on several tests because of it.

The class was difficult, but if he noticed you are sincerely trying your best and ask specific questions that prove you studied he will be really helpful. Especially if you are a math major I suggest this teacher. I actually understood the material, which is important for future classes.

Davis is a super nice guy and surely can cure anyone's insomnia. Extremely ineffective and boring. His lectures are all over. Really don't understand why AACC hands him the Calc 3 class.

Very nice guy, do not agree with how he teaches. You are taught the simplest problems and tested on the hardest that barely relate to the ones in class.

He lets you grade your own porblem sets in class, so you can look through it with him and understand what you got wrong. He gives good lectures and and allows time for people to ask questions. The maple assignments are long and a lot of work, but he is a good professeur. The tests are similar to the problem sets.

He's very helpful if you go to his office hours, but I'm afraid he doesn't really go over the most difficult topics so the problem sets are quite time consuming and I don't feel prepared for any of the tests or quizzes. I really prefer Dr. Kassabaum, but if you must take him make sure to go to his office hours as much as you can!

Dr. Davis is a very kind, helpful, and patient professor. He took the time to explain the how and why of the problems, and was always very encouraging.

The online class is split between himself and Prof Glasby. The 'lessons' are vague page numbers in the textbook, so you have to figure things out yourself. Uses WA extensively, and throws in unnecessary Maple assignments on top of that; which he doesn't explain how to use before. Only take if you have plenty of time for the workload given.

Where do I even begin? In lecture he goes over the most simple examples of complicated theories and then asks you do to the most difficult problems he can come up with. This results in you being confused 99% of the time in class. He likes giving difficult problems because he jokes all the time about finding the "geniuses" in the class. Do not take.

Hands down the toughest grader I've ever had. I had messed up the limits (not the method) on a single part of a Maples assignment, and he gave me a C. He barely covers the basics in class, so reading the textbook is a must. In addition to Maples, there are also problem sets that take a few hours. He has practice problems online that are helpful too

Tons of homework that you mostly have to learn how to do by yourself because he covers only the basics in class and expects you to know the hard stuff. Has you do Maple assignments that take hours because he doesn't teach you much for those either. Grades tough too. I would have dropped the class b/c of him if I had more time to finish my degree.

Dr.Davis designed the class to make the student successful.Uses the overhead extensively so note-taking is easy and effective.Assigns problem sets that prepare you for the test, and you correct your own in class,so youre forced to see what you did wrong,so you dont make the same mistake on the test.Careful though-he throws tricks in the hw and tests

Nice enough guy. His teaching method gave me anxiety, however. I dropped his class, because of it. He took very simple conepts and turned them into something harder than they should be. I'm an A level math student, and every time I left his class, I wondered if I should be taking a math at all.

I'm pretty good at math but the class is definitely hard. Although, I think he did about as good a job as a professor could teaching this material. Always willing to chat and very available. hmwk isn't mandatory but he gives problem sets (harder problems to prepare you for the test) plus maple (computer lab, usually doable in an hour or two total)

I think he is an excellent teacher. He teaches in a way that made the material more understandable than the textbook. He isn't easy but he is more than fair. The class was set up so that if you worked hard on homework, you could still do decently even if you didn't do great on the exams. I'm really glad I had him for Calc2.

Professor Davis is a very nice guy and does his best to help you out if you have a question but I don't think much at all of him as a teacher. He makes things more difficult than they have to be and you'd be risking your GPA by taking his class. Math is one of my strong suits, yet I was forced to drop his class halfway through so I wouldn't fail

He hardly explains things. He does one example, then moves on. He does the easiest examples, but gives us the hardest problems to do on our own. He does not follow the book. If you go to him for help he just confuses you more. I do not recommend taking his class! I'm not the only one that feels this way, pretty much my entire class dislikes him.

I thought he was a great teacher. Knew his stuff, but lets face it you have to work alot of work to understand this type of math. The book is important as it gives you numerous problems to work out.
