She was my first writing professor at SBU. and yes, she makes you work hard and write a lot!! but she is extremely nice and helpful. and to address the people who say she is boring, she isn't, its just that you have to pay attention to get her joke :) . . . if i get the chance to, i would take her class again!!

Extremely harsh grader. Has really high and impossible expectations to reach. I was always a good writer until her class. Seems to favor athletes. Nitpicks at every little thing. Avoid her class at all costs.

she was one of the nicest teacher's i have ever had. she helped me so much with my writing, and improving my writing skills. i did fairly good in her class, and writing isn't necessarily my strong point. she is a tough grader though. and you don't use the book at all.

She's a very kind woman but can be boring during class--it's writing after all. If you go to her office hours and ask for her help, she'll give you better feedback than if you just read her corrections. She comes off like a hard ass but is really down-to-earth and has a good sense of humor once she warms up to the class. Doesn't use a text book.

this is the only teacher that made me feel like crap every class. she def has her favorites, and will pretty much make it known. she also makes a lot of underlying offensive comments .. attendance was ridiculous too. if you walked in a minute after class started, she would take off as much as if you missed 15 min which factors a lot into your grade

A very strict and critical grader. Multiple revisions on each paper and always got more negative reponses. Impossible to satisfty. Grade also goes down for absences. She's a great teacher, if she likes your writing style. Very subjective...not good.

Mrs. Frost is very nice and overall a great WRT 101 teacher. The essay assignments are not bad. She is always willing to help with essays during office hours. 50% of the grade is CW and HW, so its an easy 50, and the other 50% are the 3 essays. If you write the essays and reivse there is no reason to not get a good grade in her class. GOOD LUCK

lots of work; a paper every two weeks with assignments in between. but the assignments sometimes HELP you write your essay. she is always willing to help you out and give you feedback. if you show her that you're serious (revise alot, attend class), you'll do fine. her flaw is she talks to the class as if we were idiots. her BB is unorganized too.

good thing is that she'll give u plenty of time to revise, but nomatter how many times u revise, she'll find some mistake anyway. really tough grade. keeps every record of how many times you are late and absence.
