Comment:

By far my favourite professor. She teaches in an old-fashioned way: simple lectures with the occasional photo (NO Powerpoint). Her content is so interesting you wont care that you're staring at a wall for 2 hrs. Most fascinating material IMO - real world history + facts, no theoretical BS. If you get the chance to take her class - PLZ DO! :)

Comment:

Constance is a great teacher, however, she does not use powerpoint to present her class, so you have to show up to class to pass! Regardless, she is very knowledgable and her lectures are always interesting and easy to follow and take notes on.

I had two classes with Dr. Classen this term and they were by far the highlight of my educational career at Concordia. She has so much knowledge to offer and all of her lectures are very engaging. I would highly recommend taking one of her classes.

Teacher is very boring and monotonous. This was a 2h15 class once a week, which turned out to be torture by means of lecture. Exam questions aren't always clear and she looks for specific answers. Would not recommend.

She has got to be one of the best teachers at Concordia. Very approachable and knows her stuff. Take a lot of notes and you'll pass the course with flying colours. I really learned a lot also.

Amazing class- I was really surprised. I thought I would hate it because prof doesn't use Moodle or Powerpoint slides. But she was a great lecturer and the topics were fascinating! She's very knowledgeable and fair. Definitely take good notes and go to every class. Fantastic!

She cares a lot about the subject matter and the topic is very interesting. Personally I find her *too* easy and wish the material was a little more in depth and a little more contemporary. But if you pay attention, remember what she said in lectures and do the readings you should get a good grade.

The most straight-forward anthropology class I've ever taken! The readings are short (1-10 pages each) and interesting, you only have 4-5 to do a week, lectures are clear and directly relate to the readings and interesting, exams are easy and relate directly to lectures and readings. If you read and go to class, you're guarenteed at least a B!

I don't understand how people failed, but I took this prof. last summer and got a B. Her lectures are a bit boring, but she's clear and basically sums everything up. It's mandatory that you keep up with the readings and take LOTS of notes especially during the review session.

40%mid-term,60%final.U'd better to be a good note-taker,otherwise AVOID! She has no office hour,not even a TA or tutorial.The exams are mostly from the notes. Even if u read the textbook very hard, sorry, u'll still fail. Once u take this class,u're all on ur own. No help is offered.

If you're an A student who catches everything in class, she's fine. If you're a C or B- student wow you're done. no study guide no nothing for her tests, anythin she says is game and shes very unclear. She sounds like Patty Mayonaise from "Doug". She's actually awful. Very hard marker, doesn't narrow anything down, not compassionate at all. Avoid

i love her! she's clear and her lectures are extremely relevant to exam. so attendance is a MUST! her exams are straight forward, no tricks..all the material is either in the lectures or the readings. study and attend and you're pretty much guaranteed an A

She is amazing! The way she lectures....it's like she tells a story so its easy to remember. Very interesting class, smart professor, but you need to go to class and take really good notes. Fair grader. If you work hard & go to class, you can get over B+. Loved her!

She is an amazing teacher, smart, clear and nice. But she is shy so ask her questions and she will have more discussion...she just needs to be brought out of her shell. Attendence is important if you want a good grade and take good notes. Exam and lectures are straight foward and interesting. I had her for LOYC 340. My favorite professor! ~
