We have to paint from observation. I bought canvas from him and kobashi. He a sweet teacher and i got a good grade it was easy for me. He did in black and white and color and help him because i like his academic teaching way he did. He help students with different level of painting.

He doesn't have a schedule, not even anything to base a time frame on. It might be due the day he says or he might change it. You never know. Don't expect him to come to you or walk around a lot. He just sits and paints by himself. If you familiar with painting and like to take your time, DO NOT take this class. He moves too fast for a paint class.

Craig is a producing artist, which makes him invaluable if you want to continue with an art carrer. If you are just taking the class to fill your plate, you won't get much out of it. He is an excellent artist,and I'm glad to hear he is now teaching his own classes at El Camino.

I know u don't have many choise but Do not take him! unless u like to have ur music and paint by urslef all the smemster! He forgets that he is the teacher! not the student! He even dosen't come to see how u are doing! Not helpful.

A great teacher! .. i took beginning painting with him and i learned a lot! .. from value to temperature .. and mixing .. everything u need to know about painting, color and mediums, all of that covered in this class ..

This professor is one tough, but fair, grader! He explains very well what he wants, and if you don't illustrate that you learn it, that's when bad grades show. He does not grade based on who you are or character, but by the quality of understanding painting, only! Nice guy too, by the way.
