I was extremely impressed with the quantity and quality of practical materials gained from this class for future classroom use. Dr. Janas has been very friendly and provides engaging experiences for her online classes via narrated slides, iris modules, live group discussions, and extra resources.

Comment:

Janas is an average professor. She just blandly lectures each class, pretty much reading you the powerpoint. She is also a nice lady and is understanding if you forgot something, or need to turn it in late. The class is extremely easy and the powerpoints have all the info you need to do well.

most of the questions on her quizzes come from the powerpoint slides she teaches from. we barely used the book. the class is easy as long as you do well on the papers and quizzes, and it's not difficult to do that at all.

She's pretty bland as a teacher, she knows what she's talking about, but doesn't really show much passion towards her special education history. Easy A, had a take home exam, a few projects, and a final.

Easy A. She just teaches from PowerPoint so it's just what you take away from the PowerPoints that you learn. She doesn't focus on detail and just wants you to get the general idea of special needs so basically you can get away with not doing anything in this class if you wanted to. Attendance is only mandatory for the 5 point in class quizzes.

nothing exciting about this class. shes a good teacher and its easy, but the classes were sort of boring. weekly quizes are very easy. like i said.. nothing exciting and..boring.

What a great professor. She always was bringing in relevant information pertaining to best practices in special education. All assignments had a purpose and she was always willing to meet with students to chat about the class, their careers or life.

When we talk about therapies that could greatly help a student, why doesn't she ever mention music therapy? she teaches at a school whose music therapy program has a 100% placement rating. it's one of the best in the country. at least mention it as an option. all of my notes have MUSIC THERAPY scribbled across them. she should know better.
