Comment:
The exams are absolutely terrible. Be ready to fail them regardless of how hard you study as they are all highly opinionated. The papers are terrible as well as if you forget one small detail your grade drops a letter grade on the paper. However, at the end of the semester she drops and curves grades so you will likely receive an A or B.

I love the way Professor Reddy structured this class. Primarily short papers and 4 exams, but she makes online blog participation mandatory. At first this seemed tedious, but it really helped fill the void of classroom discussion in an online class, which majorly helps while studying especially since she's active in the conversations.

Overall a really good professor. Be prepared to read- about 100 pages per week and 1 paper per week as well. However, if you read the articles and write on the topics covered, you will make an A. The final paper is very lengthy, but she gives lots of feedback on how she wants it written. Ask any question and she answers within 24 hours. Great class

Dr. Reddy is a great professor and did a great job teaching this class. She provides you PDFs of all the readings along with her lectures in both written and audio form. This class was made up of 7 units which include weekly discussions and a short 2 page paper for each. The final has both a multiple choice and essay section, but there's a review.

No exams. There's 5 units and each has blog post assignment (one of the posts is a group assignment), a mini wrap up essay, and 3 reading quizzes. There are two other 1500 word papers related. One paper is about a recipe of your choice and the other is about your personal food consumption over the course of 3 days.

It was an online class that I was excited about but it ended up being the hardest class of my semester. It was hard to get into the course work and no matter how hard I tried on the discussion posts, it wasnt good enough. Im an A student and I worked very hard just to get a B+. She is a difficult grader and would not take her again.

Even after Hurricane Harvey Dr. Reddy did not change her course load she just combined the weeks together. I would not suggest this class for non anthropology majors or first time students. She gives 4 exams, 3 quizzes and 4 2-3pg papers, you must also post 2-3 questions or comments each week. She graded my papers low and without explanation.

Great class but challenging. She makes you think outside the norm and see things from a different perspective. Fair grader and comments on your work and what areas need to be improved on. Really wish I wasn't out of the country while taking her class; would have been easier with a constant internet connection. Overall, amazing topic.

I'm surprised she is still a professor; so many student complain about her classes and the quality of them. Never answers emails and when she does, it's towards the end of the course. Her assignments are pityful and boring. She's a harsh grader; no matter how many sources and pages you write, be prepared to have your work be labeled as mediocre.

Dr. Reddy's class is definitely a large work load. There are so many readings assigned for each week! And on top of that she has weird paper assignments where you have to make believe stuff and write about it but the she critiques you really hard on them.. I don't agree with that. Other than that as long as you stay on top of the work it's fine.

Dr. Reddy gives alot of work on her online class, but it's necessary for all the reading that's assigned. 3 quizzes, 4 exams, 4 books to read, 4 short papers and 3 weekly discussion posts. She was always responsive when I emailed her and she was always giving me words of encouragement when I was uncertain or feeling as though I wasn't doing well.

Dr. Reddy was a pretty good professor. She gave good feedback for the most part. My only complaint is I felt the tests were pretty hard. I felt like some of the questions on the tests were not covered in her online lectures. Also, there is a lot of reading for the class. But I have come to find this as the norm for ANTH.

Dr. Reddy is a wonderful professor but this course, Asian Studies unless your major is specific to Asian Studies do not take this class as a humanities or an elective. She is a tough grader, especially because Asia is her passion so if you don't agree with her, your grade will reflect. Her essay questions are opinions, but your opinion is wrong.

Do not take this class unless you have an unlimited amount of time to spend reading and writing. The tests are very difficult, and her online lectures do not help with the test whatsoever. Her expectations are unclear and her grading is inconsistent, however she is a pretty easy grader.

For this professor, there are no words, but I shall try. She is ALL about herself, what she's doing, where she's living, her accomplishments, etc. ICK! Such hubris! She made the class an absolute drudgery to get through. Not recommended!
