Prof Goodwin really does mean well, but if you are taking this course as a pre-requisite, I would take someone else for A&P. He gives the Reader's Digest version on all material and if you need to take A&P II, you will definitely be in trouble. He is also inconsistent with his lectures and is quite forgetful.

Comment:

Professor Goodwin is a great teacher. He doesn't use the book so study your notes. Quiz every Friday. You should do fine on the quizzes if you study your notes however there were a few times that there were questions we did not learn yet; besides that, awesome class. He really dumbs it down so it is easy to understand.

I took Goodwin during the Fall semester on Fridays. If you pay attention, study for the quizzes, and do the assignments you could earn an A in this class with ease! He cuts the topics he thinks are unnecessary down and simplifies complex topics. He does talk a lot about his life but I think its to keep students paying attention.

Really surprised this professor has such high rankings. His "jokes" are more like misogynistic rants, and spends most of the class asking you to guess how much random celebrities make and complaining about "corporate America." He'll shout "Corporate America!" At least 6 times every class, which might make sense it it was econ but it's bio...

He's an amazing teacher!! I really loved his class, he makes learning so easy and fun. I always loved listening to his funny stories. If you want a good teacher who is stress free and makes learning fun then pick him for sure. I had a wonderful experience with him.

Professor Goodwin is one of the best professors I have ever had. The class structure is lecture-based and there are weekly quizzes, but if you study the lecture notes you will do well. His grading is very clear and if you are struggling, he is very willing to help. If you have the chance to take his class, you should!

One of the best science teachers I ever had. I wish he has A&P on a week day instead of saturdays! I totally would take another class with him. I enjoyed his class I never felt bored. He's really good at teaching study skills to remember certain content. All his notes are clear and everything on the quiz, midterm or final he explains what to study.

Easiest A of my life, and I'm not a science person. Just memorize everything he tells you to memorize and you're fine. The only drawback I had was that I wasn't prepared for A&P. I'd recommend him more for someone who is a liberal arts major trying to get your science requirement covered.

Solid guy, good teacher. He makes it very clear what you need to know to do well on tests. Teaches in a format that makes it very easy to take notes to study from. Write down what goes on the board and study that, he won't put a lot up there but what goes up is what shows up on the tests and quizzes. Explains things very very well.

One of my favorite professors. Genuinely cares if you do well. Made A&P a fun class and lyou learn a lot. Bone final was tough but he shows you different ways to remember them throughout the course. Very approachable if you have questions. Tests are short answer but not bad if you take good notes. Made a Saturday class fly by. Excellent professor.

This is one of my favorite professors so far. He was funny but at the same time worked with you so you can learn the text. He understands that the best way to learn is get out of the classroom and gain hands on experience. I would recommend him to everybody.

One Of The Best Profs At Massbay! He's Funny, Friendly, And Made A+P Fun! All His Quizzes Were Multiple Choice Or Open Response And He Give Them Right After The Lecture When It Is Fresh In Your Mind! The Bone Lab Was Hard, But Can Be Done If You Pay Attention and Work As A Team. He's Also Very Easy Going and Laid Back On The Intense Subject Matter!

Plenty of jokes & entertainment throughout the class. Paying for the book was a waste (we didn't use it & I actually got marked wrong for using the books terminology). Didn't love or hate the class, just wish we learned more, you pay for the games later in A&P when you have no understanding of certain concepts. Final had questions he did teach
