I took intro to Psych with Dr Nichols summer 2011. He is one of the most energetic, caring and compassionate people I have EVER met in my entire life. TAKE HIS CLASS! He is a brilliant man; interesting, funny and will teach you alot about life in general. Pay attention, read the material and you will get a good grade.

Oakland Community College has lost one of its best psychology professors with the retirement of Dr. Nichols. I loved his class both due to the content and the enthusiasm with which Dr. Nichols presented the material. My love of the field of psychology increased due to his presentation of the material. Happy retirement wherever you are. THANK YOU

One of the best instructors at OCC. Makes the class interesting and gets lots of interaction going on in the class. You only have one more chance to take this wonderful interesting instructor. Getting an A is entirely possible if you show up for class, take notes, and make an effort to study. He lets the students know what to study for each quiz/test. He let me make up two quizzes that I missed by writing essays, but I think the essays were more difficult than the original quizzes. All in all, he's my favorite professor.

He is a riot, I just loved him. If you come to class tired, guaranteed you wont be when you leave, he will keep you laughing, just ask him about the endorphins. If you do your work, and the extra credit, study for your test from the vocabulary and notes you'll get an A.

This was the best teacher yet! He make this class fun and interesting. You want fall asleep in his class. It not just about child psych but life in general. Class notes and class participation is important . I recommend this class to everyone.

This is by far one of the greatest teachers! he is one of my favorite people, he inspires me...but also come to class, he will give you ALL of whats on the test, plus he knows how the mind works...so makes sure it sticks in your head by repetition.

Great humanitarian, very nice and crazy old guy. If you need to take an early morning class, take his! Guaranteed you will not sleep! He's very opinonated and some people get offended by what he says, so if you are very conservative, it might be a bad idea to take his class. Otherwise go for it I love him. He's hard though! Make sure you study!

What a motivational professor! He captures your interest and your attention. Never a dull moment. His tests are outdated so try to find an older text publication if possible. The newer editions do not have all the info that is contained on some of the tests.

He's a little crazy, but you learn in his class and there's never a dull moment! My only morning class I could stay awake in, plus my daughter was 2 weeks old at the start of the semester and he was very understanding if I was late.

Very cool teacher. Had him at 8:30 in the morning and his class was the only one I could stay awake for. He's pretty witty with his jokes, which are all great. I definitely recommend him. I'm so glad I get to take another one of his classes next sem. He's also willing to help anyone out with any problems.
