Can be hard to understand at times. Never use the book. For tests memorize online quizzes he gives and you will pass. Really nice guy and very approachable. Tests can be challenging because he does not go over difficult topics in class.

Very nice guy and very enthusiastic. has a thick chinese accent which adds to the confusion of chemistry. but he will help if you approach him. lectures are typically boring.

Very nice guy easy to approach for questions but his accent makes him hard to understand at times. Class can be boring and confusing since he spends lots of time deriving the formulas and explaining the easy problems while ignoring the hard ones. His test are very long and difficult but he give you formulas which is helpful.

Dr. Chen is a very nice and funny guy who will always help students if they ask. In gen chem, I had a little difficulty following some of his lectures (not because of his accent), and there is a lot of independent studying and reading involved, but that is to be expected. The three hour workshops can be a bit long, but helpful.
