Donna is the best! She explains things clearly, and her lectures are entertaining. This class is not easy. Don't sign up if you don't want to work and if you don't have an interest in the subject.

Amazing professor, advisor, friend and mentor. Donna breathes nutrition in every aspect and makes you want to learn and appreciate the subject at hand. NFS 227/337 is by far the hardest 2 classes in the dietetics track & she made it all worth while. Gained knowledge and confidence in my career field. Love her!

Donna is the best! She has a passion for the subject and puts a ton of effort into making sure you have all the information you need for her exams, which unfortunately can be tough so study a lot! READ THE BOOK. Donna, is a blast... so FUNNY. She says things, such as "Orgasmic" and makes jokes left and right. She is the best nutrition professor!

I love this professor. She is so helpful and makes the material really interesting. I never thought I would be interested in nutrition, but I have found myself genuinely interested in the information covered in class. She offers review sessions before each exam which are really helpful. I highly recommend taking NFS 207 with Donna

Very good teacher. Most people think that it is an easy A class because its just Nutrition, but its not. If you don't study, you will definitely do bad in the exams and think that the class is hard. However, if you take your time and actually study for this class and keep up with the readings here & there , the exams will be a piece of cake, trust me =)

Donna is an awesome teacher. She is very entertaining which helps because I had the class at 8am. She offers a ton of extra credit, and it can bring up your grade a whole level so take advantage of that. You do have to study on your own for tests but with the project and an 86 avg on tests and extra credit I received an A!

Donna is an amazing teacher.. I don't know why people would say otherwise. I also had her lecture at 8am and she always tried to make it more interesting. She gives a lot of extra credit, so take advantage of it. Reading the chapters before class really helps and study EVERYTHING for the exams and you'll do fine.

She is not organized at all...her slides are not the same as the one she posts. She talks very fast and she thinks that by being nice, people will forget that she is a bad teacher. She knows a lot, but she needs to learn how to share her knowledge. Sorry, but she is good only at personal level, not professional!

The worst class I have ever taken. Definitely not the material that should be taught in GENERAL nutrition. Not a gen ed at all. She is way too obnoxious for 8am, and I am a morning person. I am an A student and got a C+ in here because the tests were too hard, specific, and you had to basically teach yourself everything. Don't take!!

Don't know why anyone would give Handley negative comments. She's so awesome! Had lots of funny analogies to help you remember nutrition processes and was really helpful. Tests were hard, because the material was hard, but if you went to class and studied you'd be fine. Took this class 3 years ago and it still ranks as one of my favorites!

This class very boring... I took it at 8am though.. It was hard to stay awake. She tried to make it more interesting but idk if its the subject or her... I think attendance should be mandatory. The exams were a little weird but doable. She is a very nice person and will definitely help you.

i hated this class. Donna is a great person, on a personal level but as a teacher, she bites. exams are VERY hard and cover way to much information. they are also very specific. i dont know but if you ask me there is something wrong when about half of the class fails each test. projects & clicker questions are good to boost the grade but not enough

Exam are too hard. The first two have way too much information on them. It would be better if they were broken down into maybe quizzes. But the extra credit clicker points are great and really help out your grade! so you have to go to class!

If you have any interest in Nutrition, take this class and even if you don't it is still a great class. Donna is extremely nice and helpful, she wants you to do well. Grading is very fair, big class. Attendance is not mandatory but clickers are used for extra credit so it is in your best interest to attend.

Donna is one of the best professors I've had. She is so nice, funny, and entertaining, and she makes the class a lot of fun. Go to class and study your notes and you'll be fine. The exam questions come right from the notes, so make sure you know them. Lots of extra credit opportunities with the clicker. Definitely take this class with Donna!

If you go to class (which you should because Donna is extremely entertaining!) and you study your notes you'll be fine. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. You can get enough extra credit points in the class that you shouldn't have to stress over your grade--you still have to put some effort into the class. Overall, great class and great prof!
