I have Dwight as an advisor. He is an awful advisor, but, not in a bad way. He's very interesting. my first time meeting him, he was eating pistachios with his feet on his desk talking about the colts. The next time I saw him his feet was still on the desk but he was on the verge of crying talking about his divorce. I think everyone should see him.

If I wasn't a communications student I would avoid Dwight at all costs. This man has good intentions but on both classes I have had with him he has 1) lost a grade of mine and 2) gave me a 0 for it instead of FINDING IT. His head is in the clouds and he will forget you and the rest of the class exist until it is convenient for him.

READ THE WHOLE THING: How to explain Dwight. Dwight's classes require minimum effort and you should pass extremely easily if you do what he says, whether you wing it or not. HOWEVER, despite how there is no possible way to fail, each and every class you will battle the urge to commit suicide. Please for the love of God stay clear of his class.

This man is the most awkward, inappropriate, and most insane person ever. His grading is unnecessarily tough. most professors let you pick your own topic for speech, he will tell you exactly what he wants or he will basically fail you. He lives to see people in awkward and upsetting situations. Had to take this class again with a different prof.

Avoid him as a professor. He is an extremely bad grader. He is very disorganized and he is not much help outside of class. Our class had to be curved. People were getting 40s on the exams. This is communication studies not engineering!

The reviews here are accurate.He is VERY hard as a grader and expects you to structure speeches EXACTLY as he describes in class.He started out the semester pretty friendly but got much less friendly as time went on. He says to do your best and not worry about grades but then crushes you on your grades.Bad experience all around.Quizzes tough too

he is full of himself. he thinks he is funny and he thinks his voice is amazing when it is not. he is a really bad teacher and does not explain the information. he also teaches information that he does not understand himself. he is over all a bad teacher and is way over paid

Very rude. Thinks he is hysterical but he's not. 10question quizes that cover 3 chapters and he doesn't explain what's on them. Impossible to get 100 on his speeches. Not helpful, can't dress professionally, very judgmental and says inappropriate things. TAAKES THE 100 LEVEL COURSE WAY TOO SERIOUSLY. loves nerds, hates athletes and normal people.

Dwight is funny, helpful and really laid-back. He has very clear requirements for the speeches you have to do. He gives short, easy tests on the information from the textbook. It's an easy A if you just listen to what he says.

I took this class with the goal of becoming a better speaker. goal not achieved. He was frequently rude, and, as I spent more time in class, I realized he would needlessly vie for the attention of students. I found him childish. Avoid if you can. I learned little, despite my studying, and probably because of the poorly structured class.
