Graded on just a very few assignments and exams, without much opportunity to improve your grade. The workload was reasonable, but it felt more difficult than it needed to be. I've had better professors, but I wouldn't avoid taking him.

I am still taking this class and am sitting at about half credit hoping for a better grade. I am Also Taking his LAN course. Maybe 5-10 years ago he was on point but I doubt he is even reading the book he is assigning. Lecture notes do nothing for the HW and the books do less. Youtube should not be my professor.

Solid course. Professor always responded to my questions by email quickly and was very supportive, I had a lot of questions on the course material because it was not something that I was familiar with before I took the class.

Course was tough, I wasn't that familiar with the material - others in the course seemed to breeze through and posted alot to the discussion board but they all were in the industry. I asked a lot of questions by email and always got a response from the professor. He clearly wanted to make sure that I understood the topics, even when I struggled.

So the class was super easy, but it's obvious the teacher only does the absolute bare minimum. Ultimately, you will learn nothing in this class. Is there no quality control at UML? This teacher is shameful.

Had him for 90.461 LAN/WAN Technologies. The online lecture notes upon which he relies to teach the class (this was an online class) are filled with typos and are nearly incomprehensible. Be prepared to use sources external (Wikipedia/Google) to the lecture notes and book.

Had him for LAN/WAN and TCP/IP. The structure is simple, great for online learners. Read the notes, answer the weekly discussion board ?'s , take the weekly assessments, midterm and final are open book/notes; email it back before the deadline -- get an A. My favorite question on the final was "what would you like to see more of in this class?"
