3 Lecture Exams + 1 final take home Lecture exam. 3 Lab practicals. Professor Hanson overall is an amazing lecturer, you can get A's on his lecture exam if you just read the book, but for lab practicals, you actually have to go to lab and look at models. I regret not study for the first lab practical. I got a 74 on the first one, then 89 & 87.

What an awesome experience being in Hanson's class! This is not an easy class so you really have to put in work. Read textbook before coming to class because an hour of lecture is never enough. Lots of metaphors that can help you remember the concepts. The test is hard but if you work hard you should be fine.

Dr. Hanson remains one of the best professors I have ever had. I am now in my doctorate program, and still to this day remember his examples explaining physiological functions. The course material is challenging, but if you are serious about learning it, he is wonderful. Thank you Dr. Hanson!

He would always emphasize to read (of course) but I personally learn by listening & reading. So if permitted record the lectures and youll enjoy filling in your notes (yes, because 1 hr goes by VERY fast). Additionally, youll be reminded of his humorous metaphors and hopefully, youll establish a solid understanding of the concepts.

He is the best-no matter what class you will choose:anatomy or physio. Very patient, opened to communication, has huge sense of humor. If you will show your interest to his lectures or prectice, you will be fine. Be sure, if you will take one his class, you will want to take 2nd one. In both classes is not easy A,or even B -you have to work for it.

The class is not easy because of the material. But he is so great at explaining things, and you will really learn so much. His examples will stay with you later in your career. I highly recommend Dr. Hanson.

This class was the first anatomy class Dr. Hanson thought. He is very flexible, cares a lot about his students. You should read the assigned chapters before class If you want to do well. There is a lot of material to learn. Repetition is the key. You should read the book . Use a coloring book to help out with Lab.

This subject is not easy but Mr. Hanson does it very clear and interesting. Try to record his lectures, it may help. Tests are heavy but if you read a book very carefully and ask many questions during lab practice, you will be fine. There are no any extra credits but at the end you will get some extra points if you will show progress in learning.

Dr. Hanson is a great teacher. If you want an easy A, don't take this class. If you really want to learn physiology & be able to apply it to real life situations, take him. His lectures are thorough/amazing and he expects you study outside of class. He doesn't hold your hand w/ study guides. Considerate & genuinely cares for his students success.

Very funny and outgoing. Knows a lot about the subject but gives virtually no direction when it comes to exams and quizzes. For such a vast subject, a study guide would be helpful. Wish I'd taken it with a different teacher because an A seemed virtually impossible with Professor Hanson.

The best science professor I've ever had. Lecture material is dense; one chapter every two class periods. Makes things easy to understand, knowledgeable & approachable. PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. Only take this class if you're serious about learning. If you slack even just a little, you wont get an A. Weekly quizzes. Group work. Choose group wisely.

Physiology is a really difficult subject, but Dr. Hanson teaching it wasn't very helpful even though he is nice. You really have to work for a good grade in this class or you won't pass. There are weekly quizzes so if you want to get a good grade I recommend reading and applying daily, it's harder than you expect. One paper, a midterm, a final.

Some of the best lectures of my college career. Dr. Hansen has deep experience and brings this all to the table in class. His classes are well organized with no surprises. You do have to know the subject, but his frank lab conversations and engaging lectures- metaphors and all - make his class a real pleasure.

Mr. Hanson is probably one of the most well respected teachers in CCSF. However, as for me, who is a non-native English speaker, it was really hard for me to catch up with his lectures. He speaks wayy too fast. I think it would help if you take Anatomy first before taking this class.

Hanson took over for Toebe due to a leave of absence and he was the best you could possibly ask for. Very clear and knowledgeable and is always looking to relate the information to health care. VERY willing to offer help and is never pedantic. Expects you to put in work but his ability to teach means he all but deserves us to preform well for him
