Felt like the entire class was her patting herself on the back for how much she writes. Will teach you nothing, all of class is outside readings that you will be quizzed on daily. Towards the end she spends all of class playing videos, she does no speaking. At the end you hand in four assignments and that is your grade. Easy class. Annoying teacher

terrible online teacher. doesnt want to explain the assignments. has rude comments when you email her for help. comepletely ignores the questions you ask her. do not take her. she is TERRIBLE. worst teacher ive ever had.

I took her class online(big mistake). She doesnt communicate well other than going on an email rant about people not addressing her as Dr. and it took forever to get grades back, after the first 2 weeks she rarely emailed the group and up until the last 3 weeks of semester there were no grades posted. Do not recommend taking her online at all.

Comment:

Expository Writing was a fantastically formatted class, and Professor Cone lead the direction very well and allowed us to essentially do whatever we wanted as long as it pertained to class. This format was great for learning how to write better.

Awful professor... Responses back to email, but won't give you any clarification on the assignment when asked. When reading what she wants done it's confusing and isn't clear at all, so I've decided to ask and all I get what read my assignment I posted. How is that any help? For a technical teacher she really isn't that clear or technical at all.

No lecturing. You get in a circle or groups of 3-5 each class. Lots of reading. Three papers overall. She has her favorites to be honest, but I think all professors do. Just complete the assignments on time and you should do fine.

Took her for Contemporary English. The class was fine. She doesn't lecture however. You get into groups, or a big circle for just about every class. In my particular class, the same 5 or 6 people discussed each time. Two papers, read two books, and a final project. She says she gives pop quizzes, but we had one for the entire semester.

Ive been going to Suffolk for a year and a half now and she has to be the worst professor ive ever had. I had her for an online class and she would respond to my emails, her work was confusing and made no sense. She doesn't take any late assignments. Do not take her online class she leaves you for dust and doesn't want to do her job.

Doesn't teach a thing, expects you to read text book to learn material and gives pop quiz's. Most assignments are group papers, so your almost guaranteed not to learn a thing while she sits at her desk and plays with her phone. Do yourself a favor, dont take her.

I had Elizabeth Cone for Advanced Expository Writing in 2001. Even though, Cone was a tough grader, she was fair. She had the students make the class policies such as what to do with attendance. She did exactly the decision that was made by many students. In other words, if you're not absent for college, you get five points for attendance.

I really liked Prof Cone.Not too difficult to figure out what she expects of you, do it and you will be fine.I found her funny and interesting to talk to.I learned about writing.Don't be late or absent and no side talk during class.She likes chairs in a circle which is a pain&is a tough grader but all in all she was inspiring and very knowledgable.

She comes off nice, but dont let her fool you. She has an attitude. It doesnt matter on how good of a writer you are, if she doesnt like your writing she'll give u a C even if its not what you deserve. dont be late, she'll not like you and roll her eyes when u walk in. i didnt think she was very helpful, i liked the assignments though. good luck

she is a really nice professor. shes helpful. she gives individual and group assignments. the assignments are sometimes hard and sometimes easy, but are fun no matter what.
