Comment:

She added me to her class when I desperately need to be after my advisor put me in the wrong class, so she practically saved me from having to take another semester, so Dr. Lutze cares about students very deeply. However, the class was lecture heavy and I felt that discussing viewpoints that opposed her own made her not like you. Wasn't the worst.

Comment:

Lutze is a qualified professor that doesn't always take learning to the next level. She has quite a bit of experience, but I would have liked to hear more about it, as it would have been more valuable than what we frequently discussed. She also allowed her assistant to write one of the test, it made no sense, he must have done it last minute/drank.

Comment:

Keeping track of your grade is like pulling teeth. Of the two hours listed for office hours she is there for maybe 30-40 minutes of it and is rushing you out the door asap. Makes lots of promises about feedback and posting grades that are never delivered. While a relatively pleasant person there is a noticeable lack of effort running the course.

It was a MUST to read her book and go to class. One exam focused just on the lecture material...after a poor average she spent a half lecture explaining the importance of attending lecture. Her next exam was based JUST on book material, NOTHING from lecture was present. Nice lady. Not bad, just hard, a lot of material to go over.

Great Teacher! she swears a lot to try and be funny and will throw in some sex comments to wake people up. She get frustrated when people dont laugh at her jokes though. Easy tests and papers, try to get her in spring, she'll throw in EC for going on sunny days.

This is the second course I've taken from Dr.Lutze, the first one was CRMJ 205. She is, hands down, my favorite prof at Wazzu. I actually enjoy going to her class and she never fails to crack me up. The TA from both classes was a fair grader. Just like most classes, go to class and you'll do fine on the exams.

Comment:

Excellent professor, very knowledgable and makes class interesting. She cusses alot but she is hilarious!! Her class was always interesting to go to, attendance was somewhat mandatory. Her tests are fairly easy if you study the lecture notes and know basic info from the books.

I took Violence Against Women from Dr. Lutze. She is a very interesting women and easy to learn from and understand. She is very knowledgeable and open to discussion of various view points. There was alot of required reading but I found it to be very easy reading and fundamental to getting the most out of the course.

Great course, great prof!She knows what she is talking about.At first she seemed very up-front aggressive in her attitude, but she is fair and open to different opinions! Upfront Tests, when answering don't fill it with "fluff", she doesn't really seem to care about intros and filler, just answer it as thoroughly as possible.GREAT tier III class!

she makes it easy to understand. but she doesnt really want to be there in class. she'll give you extensions on papers, but her tests are hard. she makes you think you know the material, but then makes the tests up and then makes it difficult.

Great course with an even better professor. She knows what she's talking about more than anyone i've ever met. She makes me want to learn and be as great as she is. Excellent course for women also because it teaches you what to look out for.

I love this teacher. She is so funny and so animated. Her classes are fun and you learn a lot! If you want to learn, take her. But you still must attend class and study for her tests. She uses about 60% of lecture notes and 40% of book material for the test, so you have to read her books.
