Comment:
Personally, Jurney is a little too excitable for me, especially for a morning class. That said, she really cares about her students and will genuinely do whatever it takes to help you. I was a little disappointed with the class overall - in terms of set up and homework - but she knows her stuff and makes a genuine effort.

I loved this teacher! i was about minor in French, but she convinced me to change that to a major and is now my advisor. She is always upbeat and lively. As long as you do you do your homework, participate in class and study for the midterm/final which is kind of hard, you will do well. (at least a b+)

I learned a great deal.I am very thankful for Jurney's advice outside of class, and I now have her as my advisor in the french minor. Oh, and if you think any day of class will ever be cancelled, guess again. She taught while she 9 mos. pregnant. When electric failed in Glat, she taught in the hall!

She gave a lot of homework, some of it difficult. Wanted a lot of detail of some tests. But very nice, helpful, and understanding.Great to talk to outside of class and my skills got much better.I'm not continuing in French, but still one of my best profs.
